RE: Mind-blowing Facts!

Sarcastic bullocks are a rare breed of oxon. They are only found in parts of the west midlands and Somerset. They can be recognised by their nylon fur and polyester feet.

RE: Mind-blowing Facts!

Echo Beach by martha and the muffins is the only song not to contain the word "and". It was written, originally, completely in capital letters.

RE: Osama Bin Laden dead!

So they killed a terrorist who has countless deaths on his hands. stand back and wait for the anti-american rhetoric, oh wait, too late, sorry.

RE: BBC series - Game On...anyone remember?

I remember the one where he got caught in Mandy`s bed asleep with her knickers on.

RE: The worst pop song of all time (apparently)

And yet, here we all are talking about it. Job done. Well done to her. As xfactor et al have proved, you don`t need to be super talented to have a hit and make a fortune. And she has done it without Cowell.

RE: Chimley pots

apparently the english girl who won gold did so on the skellington, according to my wife

RE: A playoff for the current 4th place Champions League place.. Good or bad?

surely there is already a play off in place for the fourth spot, it`s called the regular season. 38 games. i think that is enough of a play off. Perhaps we should have a play off for top spot, between all the top four clubs, what is the difference. i have never agreed with it for the lower leagues, if you finish 6th, sorry, not good enough. but no, they think, if your not good enough to finish top 3 in a lower league, you`ll be okay in the next one up because of a couple of `cup` games. absolutely ridiculous!!

RE: Ruined cds

RE: Ruined cds

Thanks for the reply. it`s one of those things that, i think, will happen with older cds. it shouldn`t happen at all. It`s not just the cost, but i was really looking forward to introducing my boy to the world of the pan galactic gargle blaster et al.

would anybody know who i could contact regarding this?

thanks.

Ruined cds

Hi all,

I hope some one here can help me with my problem. At the turn of the `90s i bought the cd boxset of "the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy". now, if you have ever listened to this, it is great, but anyway, I wanted to share the experience with my son, now 12. I unearthed the cds from the cupboard, but to my dismay, all six of the cds are completely useless. they all have pin holes in the reflective coating and you can see right through them and are unplayable.

My question is, do i have any come back on these, as they were sold as "indestructable" and "the way forward", i would have been better off buying them on vinyl as they would have still been ok. I have always treated my cds with care, but it seems £60 of investment is down the shoot.

Does anyone know who i should get in contact with regarding this problem, they are a BBC product, so perhaps it should be them, but i don`t know.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Adam

RE: you`ve been framed

I don`t think he got the dosh, his mate got that, but i`m sure he bought him a drink. But you are correct, copious amounts of alcohol were the order of the day.

RE: Exactly what is wrong with people? This country is going to the dogs

regarding the train seat thing, I was on a train awhile back when a heavily pregnant woman and her other half boarded the train. She stood with the OT. i then asked if she wanted my seat, she refused, i asked if she was sure and she said she was. After a couple of minutes i got up and almost forced her to sit because i thought i couldn`t just sit with her standing. She did sit but she, i think, didn`t want "any bother".

RE: Let`s share our good news!

The good news for me is that my beautiful daughter is doing so well in year 11. She will be staying on to do A level english language, A level art and btec national in media studies. She has made me so proud. All of her teachers think very highly of her and she is very popular at school, she has completed her duke of edinburgh bronze and is doing her silver at the moment. she is also an accomplished swimmer in the local swimming club. All in all i am chuffed to bits

Lloydstsb platinumn account free worldwide travel insurance

Hi.
I have a lloyds platinumn account with lloyds and we are planning a trip to florida. Will the free insurance be adequate for our family or will i need another one.

We aren`t planning any dodgy sports [skiing etc.] So just need a heads up on this.

Thanks
Adam

aol silver and maxdsl

I had an email from aol last week saying that my line was updated to maxdsl, but i thought you only got maxdsl with the platinum pack and i`m on silver. Since this has happened i have been getting less than half meg downloads, from the usual rock solid 1 meg i used to get. i`ve phoned aol and they are saying its a bt issue and have esculated it to them. I thought that surely having a restricted upto 1 meg service and maxdsl will conflict with each other, and that would be the problem.

any thoughts on the subject most grateful
adam

RE: England top bargain

Also if you get a pack of pepperami with the promotion on it at the mo, even if you don`t win a toy, they have a 10% off at sports world in them. So even better value.

Info on youths shinguards.

Hi everyone.
My son plays under nine footie but at the end of the games, his shins are red and itch an awful lot with the EVA foam backing on his shinguards. I`ve looked everywhere for shinguards without EVA, but to no avail.

Does anyone know of any you can get, without this on youths guards.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Adam

RE: Anyone remember the actor in the Barrett homes helicopter adds?

Didn`t he also do the bit from two tribes by frankie "if your grandmother or any other member of the family should die whilst in the shelter......."

Think so anyway

RE: Free Gillette razor.....

Using router with broadband (newbie Question)

Hi Guys,

I have broadband at the moment and am quite happy with it. My question is, if i were to get a router, does this keep me logged in all the time, and when i start my pc i don`t have to log in, just start ie and away i go. Or am i a muppet and it doesn`t work like this at all. Sorry if this is a really basic question and i should know but i`m a bit thick.

Many thanks

Adam
