Mine was Multi region straight out of the box, and the wife still hasn`t noticed we have a new player :/
Has played all of my dvd`s so far including -R +R some of which the Technika wouldn`t play :) .....also no lip sync problems as with the Technika.
So far so good.

RE: Progressive scan DVD player - £33 from Aldi on Thursday
Got one myself......... I agree the tray IS flimsy but as their isn`t much weight to a cd it should be ok provided you don`t knock it or press on it to hard.
It has Digital 5.1 output via digital lead and plays ok thru my Acoustic Solutions 5.1, can`t see any dts tho.
Glad to hear it`s Multi Region as I hav`nt tried my reg 1`s, altho in the instruction booklet it say`s its reg 2.
Fits nicely on top of my Minidisc player and is very slim as opposed to my chunky Technika 1020.
All in all, pretty good for a penny under £33, but I`ll know more when i have time to play with it.
Waiting now to see if the wife has noticed that it`s new.............

I`ll second that, as I have six of the little and not so little darlings, and they certainly are tying their best to wear me out.

RE: DVD PACIFIC missing parcels
Well, this is no help to you really but.....................
I have ordered several titles from Pacific in the last few months, all sent by surface mail and have been surprised how quickly they arrived, recieved two dvd`s yesterday about a week after ordering them.
In the past I have had split shipments, but all arrived approx one week after dispatch.
Do you know why they split the order? in my case one dvd was out of stock.

RE: Turntable
This is the same as I bought to transfer my vinyl LP`s to mp3`s via my computer, using Easy cd creator, and does include a preamp that allows it to play thru any amp with L/R phono inputs.
And it`s 10 quid cheaper than I paid, and post free :/
Go for it.

RE: TV Programmes you really detest...
Kebabhead.........You mean you actually watched it? :o
I get up and leave the room when the wife turns the channel over (Yeah I`m another husband that only gets to use the tv remote after all the soaps etc.)
The wife gets rather annoyed at me cursing at Acorah and laughing at Yvette Fielding. :D

RE: TV Programmes you really detest...
If you want to see really bad tv, which is now showing as I write this.
On Cable or Sky.......Living TV.......Most Haunted.
What a load of Bu**ocks.
Acora......If bad acting was a crime, he`d have been shot after the first programme.
And the wife actually believes in all this tosh.

RE: Roadracers the film: Out on Dvd?
Thanks for the feedback, guess I`ll just have to watch it on the vid until somebody brings it out on dvd, I`ll keep checking region1.
Roadracers the film: Out on Dvd?
OK all you film buffs out there, just been watching Roadracers on a video that I taped a couple of years ago off bbc2.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, (he of Mariachi fame), and starring David Arquette and
Salma Hayek.
Set in the 50`s and about Rock`n`Roll, Fast cars, and Teenagers rebelling.
Does anybody know if it`s out on Dvd anywhere, I`ve looked for it without any success.
Alfred and I would really like to know.
Update: Researched a bit more , seems as this was a tv movie and was also known as Rebel Highway and was made between Robert Rodriguez`s El Mariachi and Desperado films.
Still can`t find any reference to either films at the usual online sites.
