RE: Best RGB using DVD recorder under £80?
I`m going to get one of these now after all of the glowing reviews on here about this DVD-recorder. Could someone please explain to me what all of this "RAM disc" gubbins is all about? Are RAM discs expensive? Also, how can you use this recorder to do the same things as a Sky+ box?
EDIT: Can anyone recommend a good scart lead to use with the DVD Recorder, and my Sky box? Thanks again
RE: Best RGB using DVD recorder under £80?
What Panasonic model do you suggest? Does this model use the RGB method of recording as well?
Best RGB using DVD recorder under £80?
Hi everyone, I`ve just sold my VHS player, and I`ve decided to get into the 21st century and buy a DVD recorder.
I will be using it to record from my Sky Digital box. I would the player to use RGB scart to do this, and cost no more than £80 (I`m not asking for much, eh?)
Has anyone got any ideas as to which recorders at that price would have the RGB Scart feature?
Many thanks in advance

RE: CyberHome CH-DVR 750 or Yamada 8400X?
I went into Asda to pick up the Cyberhome DVD recorder today and they have none in stock! They`re out of the 4KUS one as well. Bugger! What should I do now?
P.S. If the Cyberhome doesn`t record in RGB, will the Yamada?

RE: CyberHome CH-DVR 750 or Yamada 8400X?
I`ve got a Cyberhome DVD player which I`ve had for 2 years and had no problems with it, so this is pushing me towards that make. I just hope I don`t buy a "duff" one! One other question, does the Cyberhome record in RGB or Pal? Thanks.
CyberHome CH-DVR 750 or Yamada 8400X?
Hi everyone, I`m still thinking about getting a DVD recorder but I can`t figure out which one to buy. I`ve heard good things about the Cyberhome and Yamada recorders but I`m at a loss as to which one to get. I would like one that records in Nicam and is easy to use. Please help me choose! Thanks.
RE: Best DVD recorder for under £150?
Are Asda still selling these recorders? I had a look in my local one the other day and didn`t see any! Does this machine copy onto all formats, and does it record in Nicam? And does anyone own or use one of these machines?
I`ve also read that these machines overheat. Would it be a problem to place a Sky Digital box on top of it? (I`m a bit short of space at the moment)
One last question, what brand of discs would you suggest to use with the recorder?
I would like another Cyberhome product after I managed to get hold of a CH-DVD505 player in a Richer Sounds open-box sale a few years back, and it`s been great (Thanks to this site, as a matter of fact!)
Thanks again :)
BTW What is progressive scan?

Best DVD recorder for under £150?
Hi everyone, I`m currently looking for a good DVD recorder for under a 150 pounds. What does everyone suggest? I have no idea about them. Does it make any difference if you have to record through RF instead of Scart? Someone please help me!
RE: Need info on Tevion DVD player
Thanks m8 4 the help, is there any software or documention that would help me see if the player is MR?
Also I`m trying to decide between the Tevion TSDVD-1000 and the Cyberhome DVD505, any ideas to which is the best machine?
Many Thanks

Need info on Tevion DVD player
Hi Every1,
My mate has just brought a Tevion TS-DVD1000 DVD player from Aldi`s, and i`m also thinking about buying one after seeing it in action. The only thing that i`m worried about is that it`s not multi-regional, is there a remote hack for this machine?
Many Thanks
Jimbob ;)
Tevion sr-9480 or Goodmans GDV124
Hi Every1,
I have a bit of a problem, you see i`m looking for a cheap DVD player and I have seen 2 players advertised for under 40 quid locally, and I dont know which one to choose!
The 2 players are, the Tevion SR-9480 (Or 9450! not quite sure, bad pic!) and the Goodmans GDV124. Has anyone got any info on these 2 players as I can choose between the two!
Many Thanks :)
Jimbob
