RE: Venturer PVS1970 Hack?

The only difference between PVS1960 and PVS1970 is the screen size. The DVD player part is the same.

Try this:

Switch unit on.
Open DVD flap
slowly enter these numbers on remote
81328
It should then show region 2
Using the ENTER button, change region to region 9
Close the flap

VOILA !!

Using remote control, slowly enter 8 1 3 2 8
On the screen you will now see Region 2 displayed.
Using enter button, press until Region 9
Close disc lid.

Your unit should now play anything! Good isn`t it?

RE: VENTURER PORTABLE DVD PLAYER £99.99

There is no AV in on the £99 Venturer model, but I have to say that this little DVD player is OUTSTANDING value for money. The rechargeable battery lasts for about two hours, but I have just ordered a spare one ready for our holiday.

Interesting - the half price gadget bag converts to a car mount - really good. I`m getting another one from Argos today because at this price they`ll be out of stock soon

I think they are out of stock at the moment, but should be ready in a couple of weeks.

using the remote control, press 81328 (slowly)
Use up button on remote to select region 9 (region free)
Press enter.
Close the tray.

The player does play VCD disc, if the hack for making multi-region (as described elsewhere on this forum) is set to region 9 (region free)

I bought the DVD portable last week at Argos.
It`s great - in fact one thing that the catalogue doesn`t tell you is that the carrying case converts to an in-car mount which hangs on the head rest in your car!
Brill - kept the kids quiet on the trip to grandma`s house on Sunday!
