Twin Tuner HDD Freeview Box - Black

Hi

I am currently in the market for a Freeview box that has twin tuners, at least an 80Gb hard drive and the possibility to connect to a DVD recorder for copying shows!

It also has to be black to match my TV :D

I know HD signals are not available on freeview yet, but is there any "future-proof" upgradeable boxes that could be flashed if / when freeview HD becomes available?

I got a quality 50x4 watt kenwood cd player which plays mp3 cd`s so it does play cdr`s/rw.

I Got it from them for £200 inc delivery and in halfords it was £280 plus fitting!

have a look at the website, and when i phoned them to see if they had in stock, they checked if they could get it for even lower!

Bear in mind that Terminator was the 1st released of the 3(4) discs.

It may take time for the problem to show itself?

SOTL is showing signs!!

Nothing on usual suspects or robocop!

The Region 1 is £22.99 there and i am still a bit apprehensive about using sites i am not familiar with!

Also do they charge your credit card when it is despached or as soon as you place the order!?

Does anyone know any reason that i should wait for the region 1 release of the boxset (Except maybe the better cover) since the region 2 is out in september and region 1 is in december!

Region 1 also offer a widescreen & fullscreen version, but Region 2 is just widescreen (which is what I want anyway)

If you have hacked the 511 to region "9", ie repeat 38767 and pressed nine, then your player will play RCE Region 1 discs without the need for further modification!!

If you look here http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/thomson3300.asp
it will tell you all the codes that can be entered into your player!

But i must stress that you CAN play RCE on multi-region mode!!

When the dvd is loading do the following b4 the dvd has loaded:-
Start,

X (x8),

Triangle,
Triangle,
Circle,

and then select, and a region select screen will come up!

No sorry your player can`t be hacked with its own remote!

Only players with the firmware that displays hello on the panel can be hacked! You will either need to get it chipped, change the firmware or get a All 4 One remote see here

Nothing happens when you press repeat, and you don`t see any numbets on the screen until you press the final 7, when the region number will appear in the top left corner!

Do *NOT* have a DVD in the drive at the time!

the code entering doesn`t work on some players (ie yours, mines....) if you just use your player to manually access Title 3, then that is the extended special edition

Press repeat 3 8 7 6 7 and 2 appears in the corner, right?

Then press 9, open/close on the front of the player and then power off on the remote!

Switch the player back on and when you press repeat 3 8 7 6 7 th should now say 9 instead of 2

What scene does your terminator 2 stop?

I had a disc and while watching the "Special Edition", at the scene where John and Sarah have the Terminator Switched off and Sarah tries to destroy the chip, my player went mental and skipped to the next chapter!!

Turned out to be a faulty disc and maybe there is a batch of them!

Try it on a mates DVD player or something and if is stops in the same place, return it and get a replacement!
