RE: Some People want Shooting!

Why do bouncers have goatees?

Broadband ISP

Broadband has just become available around my parts and want to know what you chaps think about which one to choose, there are too many. What about BT, Wanadoo or Blueyonder.

Makosi really irritates me the ways she "crys" and acts so spoilt all the time. On tonights show she was "upset" and said she wanted to leave (yeah, right) - I would have loved it iff BB had called her bluff and said something like "very well Makosi - you have 1 hour to pack your things and say your goodbyes, then you may leave the BB house" - would have been great to see her reaction!

Ha, I would have loved to have seen that. She realy does need to be brought down a peg or three. No doubt she was trying to play the audience and steal some of the attention off Camel (Kemal) after his parents gave their `acceptance` speech. Would she f*** walk out at this stage.

On a sidenote, on a scale of 1 to 10, how physically sick does the sight of Kemal make you? 1 being fine, 10 being where yu have to keep a bucket next to you whilst watching the show.

RE: Anyone watching ` My Fair Kerry` tonight???

What is she famous for exactly? I know she was in a band but didn`t they cut her loose right before they hit the big time? She does my head in.

Watch it. Tonight. The illiterate anti-icons fighting for scraps of media attention, with the deluded plan, and desperate hope of converting it to the currency of 900-second fame once outside.

Try watching three minutes solid of muted sound, done lest they say something vaguely interesting read: controversial

Watch scum fondle other scum at 8:30pm in front of your kids.

Regardless of wether people like it or not (not necessarily a reason for keeping quiet on the subject) you try telling me where i`m wrong with the aforementioned analogy:

Pond scum watching pond scum, hosted by pond scum, with the point of discussion amongst the subject pond scum being pond scum.

Some would say this is inedifying

Tell me where, as crude that analogy is, i`m wrong?

I could do an illustration for you if you like. It involves television screens displayed within television screens, russian-doll style...

First off mate, put down your thesaurus and have a beer.

Second, It`s clear to see your trying to discourage others from watching it. That`s fine, but quit this holier-than-thou attitude you have. You`re not better than anyone who watches the show. In fact I bet you even watched the first series before jumping on the bandwagon.

RE: HANGOVERS......... why ?... OH WHY !! ??

hmmm, this is all very interesting. I had a mother of a hangover on Sunday after the FA Cup final (which Arsenal won let me remind you ;) ). Anyway, I`m keen to try that water before bed thing because it felt like someone had actually stabbed me in the head with a screwdriver and then tried to twist it everytime someone made a noise.

RE: Manchester United - Arsenal Spoiler

I agree, the hype is awful but it was a special occasion after all, a possible 50 games unbeaten, what a prospect. The biggest game of this season is yet to come (Arsenal v Chelsea, a real title decider). As a Gunner, I am gutted that it had to end this way but really why the Man U fans are gloating so much is beyond me. Wake up idiots, this was only your 4th win in 10 games, nothing to shout about is it?

As for the game itself, it was just another chapter in "The Book Of Bad Refereeing". Had Rio rightly been sent off, it would have been a completely different game, same with the dubious penalty. Something that always seems to bother me about the media is when Rooney or any other English international for that matter cheats/dives etc. They are praised for "earning" a penalty or playing the "tactical" game just to waste a few minutes at the end of a match by deliberately bringing someone down. If someone like Pires were to do what Rooney did today and "earn" a penalty, he would be slaughtered by the media and football fans alike.

On the other hand I was actually rather impressed by the Gunners performance. Reyes was absolutely stunning for the time he was on the pitch, even the Neville sisters couldn`t put him off his game by deliberately kicking him. So far in the season we have a better record than anyone else and we`re still sitting pretty at the top of the table. Not so bad is it? Watch and learn Manchester.

RE: I`m buying a PS2 game tomorrow...

I played it at a mates house and I can`t say that I`m impressed.

Much better and funnier programme now Victor has gone

I hope thats sarcasm. People have to admit that without Victor the show became less exciting, not so funny and less potentially combustable. The real show ended last Friday.

Big Brother 5 R.I.P - 23rd July 2004.

RE: Big Brother

I heard that it`s going to be a quiz style thing to see who gets evicted but it just rumour so far. If it is however it would give Dan a chance to show he is a man of his words and intentionally get it wrong.

RE: Big Brother

When will the public realise that they are paying money in the form of a phone vote to make their favorite show less interesting/entertaining?

I`m buying a PS2 game tomorrow...

... any recommendations?

I`ve just finished Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty this weekend and it really got me going for a good game with a good story. Even though I don`t think anything could remotely compare to MGS2. Maybe GTA: San Andreas when it comes out, GTA games have a good story attatched to it.

I`ve been spending waaaay too much on video games lately, it just comes in stages. A few months ago my PS2 was untouched for months on end and now I find myself addicted. However if I can pick them up pre-owned I will just to save a few pennies like Hitman 2 the other week.

Ps. What do you think of Metal Gear Solid 3 being set in the 60`s? Might be a tad wierd but interesting nevertheless. Apparently it`s taking place in a jungle rather than the generic industrial settings.

RE: Which websites are best for downloading music

Soulseek is the best. not as intricate as Kazaa however you can find rarities and live stuff from alot of bands.

RE: Big Brother

Like him or not the public have got rid of the biggest character in the house and so expect BB to get boring quickly. The public are idiots.

as OFTEL did, Watch BT like a hawk. and come down on them like a ton of bricks if they try anything funny. In fact, The Telecom providers are basically at war, day in day out. seriously. how do I know?.... I do

So I`ve heard. I also heard that BT actually developed Broadband technology around 6-10 years ago, but watchdogs prevented them from using it as it would absolutely stomp all over the competition. Makes you wonder what we`re missing out on right now.

RE: Pavement....recommendations

I know him, and he does.

RE: 24 - how long left?

Bloody hell, I thought we were still in the middle of things. how do you rate this series against the others? Pretty good I think, the writers have been quite consistant.

RE: Pavement....recommendations

One of the best groups of the 90`s. I would recommend Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain as a great introduction to the band. It kept the same mentality of Slanted and Enchanted but also showed a sneek peek of later Pavement work. Also, there was nothing bad about Country-style Pavement.

There`s also a 2CD set of Slanted and Enchanted that includes a live show from Manchester I think. They`ve also got a 2 Disc DVD out, you should pick it up for the price of one DVD. It`s got all the videos, 2 live shows and a documentary by Lance Bangs (who did the Sonic Youth DVD aswell). Compared to most Music DVDs, it`s a bargain.
