RE: Compacks 101 DVD Recorder - Unable to use dvd+r

I think you need to finalise the DVD+R disk to get it to work on another DVD player. There is an option in the Setup menu to do this.

RE: re:compacks dvd-101(drw-101)

Hi

I think you need to place your DVD further up your loop. I have mine connected directly to the aerial and then out into the VCR and from there into the TV. Not too sure as to where you would locate your digi box but at a guess it would be first followed by DVD then VCR then TV.

Good luck with it.

The 101 is a sod to work with but once set up it seems to work quite well.

RE: Compacks Dvd Recorder - Vcr Problem

Hi Noodlesluke

I had exactly the same problem but have it sorted now.

Connect your 101 to your TV Via Scart.
Connect your VCR to your compack 101 via Scart to 3 Phono Lead (Tesco 71p) (this is the scart to yellow, red and white) - I found the three sockets at the front under the flap useful. You can then press play on your vcr and it will pick up the signal on one of the AV channels - I had interferance from TV on one channel so switched the plugs to the front and it worked ok then.

Hope this helps.

RE: compacks

Hi

I have just bought a 101 and would LOVE to be able to convert my old VHS collection onto DVD and have been trying all flippin day to connect my VCR to the 101 and havnt been successful >:( .

Can you help???

My VCR has two Scart Sockets but does not have a Video (yellow Plug).

Also is it OK to get any DVD+R for this machine - I have bought some RW`s and think they are great - Pity its not possible to edit five or ten mins off the end of a program!.

Thanks your any help.
