i last week bought one of these compacks dvd 101 recorders from, yes woolies.
i have found the info here for a macrovision hack via remote but doesnt seem to disable.
i have tried a macrovision remover scart cable but that doesnt work either, also i have tried all sorts of connection configuration but as i mention its still there!!!

i am trying to convert the old holiday vhs tapes to disc, btw my vcr is a new lg.
anyone got round this problem yet.

Hello boro1616.
I bought a 101 last week and am busy putting years of old family VHS clips onto disc. The
VCR is at one end of the house and the DVD recorder at the other side so for the time being
I`m useing RF to transfer the signal. Results are pretty good. I have TV OUT on my PC
and I am making colourful captions to preceed the clips. Good fun for 130 quid !!

I have just bought a 101 and would LOVE to be able to convert my old VHS collection onto DVD and have been trying all flippin day to connect my VCR to the 101 and havnt been successful >:( .

Can you help???

My VCR has two Scart Sockets but does not have a Video (yellow Plug).

Also is it OK to get any DVD+R for this machine - I have bought some RW`s and think they are great - Pity its not possible to edit five or ten mins off the end of a program!.
