RE: Compacks 101 DVD Recorder - Connecting up With Sky
If I use the s-video cable, would I still need a phono cable for the audio ??
Also, I have just connected up the DVD recorder to a DVD player, to try recording from the player, and it works, but the image shown on the screen seems to be a bit `blocky` and not very good quality.
Is this to do with the phono cables ?
Thanks
Daniel

RE: Compacks DVD 101 (again)
I`m in a similar position with a Tivo box and Sky box.
There are s-video cables, phono cables, scart cables........ I`m very confused :/

Thanks Bluenose1 - I will give that a go.
Does a s-video cable do the same thing as a red/white/yellow phono cables ?? - Or is one better than another ??
Thanks,
Daniel

Compacks 101 DVD Recorder - Connecting up With Sky
I have just purchased a Compacks 101 DVD Recorder, and I`m trying to figure out how to connect it in to my existing devices.
I am able to plug it directly into my TV using scart to watch DVD`s, but I am having problems trying to record.
I believe I need to use the white/yellow/red connectors to connect up.
I am a Sky customer too, so would need to be able to record from Sky.
I do also have a Tivo box - But if I can just get it working with the Sky box to start with, I would be happy.
Has anyone managed to do this.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Daniel
