Some like it hot

8) Hi
Can anyone tell me if the film Some like it hot [Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis & MM]
was ever shown & or put out in colour.
I have seen the dvds arround but they seem to be in black & white & I am sure that I have watched it in colour.
I have seen the dvd for sale online but they don`t always say that it is in colour
Anyone know?

Thanks :B

RE: No Connection

:B We will give it a try, could take some time so will let you know tomorrow how it works out.
Thanks for everything.

RE: No Connection

:B Bother fraid that hasn`t helped is there anything else we can try?

Thank you

RE: No Connection

:B Thank you. We replaced the Graphics card a week ago, [upgraded]
but we had not thought of that `cause it has been working fine ---- till now!
We will go and try that
Thanks

RE: No Connection

:B Yes, the computer emits a series of beeps, yes the standby light is flashing, yes the lead is inserted properly and skrewed in place.

Any suggestions, please?

I have also tried moving the mouse/ tapping the keyboard in case the computer was in standby mode.

No Connection

:B Can anyone help me please.
When we switched on the boys computer today it beeped, the computer was on but the monitor stayed black. We have tried both sockets with the same result.
It seems to be either the connector or the wire, but I don`t know which. There is a disartation stuck in it so it is kind of important it is sorted ASAP.
Any way to find out which is faulty and is it easy to fix the only other time I called the engineer I waited a week! the wire is integrated to the monitor so I cannot just replace it.

Help greatly appreciated

Customs duty

:(
If you are ordering a number of items be sure to order them seperately with a day or two in between. It is a pest I know but sendit.com have just put all of my order into two boxes and I have paid a whopping £32 duty between them, which I would not have paid if they had sent them seperately like other suppliers have done.

RE: Blank Discs

8) Thank You both for your replys.
I realised that the Panasonic probably was a better system, but as you pointed out so was betamax. I was intending to use RW, but from a very laymans point of view the + & - are quite confusing, I need to go with what will allow me to use it on a number of machines. sometimes it feels as though the manufactures set out to deliberately make life difficult.
Of course really it is all about making money isn`t it ? Regions 1, 2, 3,etc. I rest my case. Now all I have to hope is that the instructions aren`t written in gobble d gook.
Otherwise I will need to update my course on gibberish.
Thanks for the assist.

Blank Discs

:D
I have just bought a dvd recorder went with a Lite On 5005.It was available and cheap !
but it records on either DVD - or + so is one better than the other or what ?
I rejected the Panasonic because of the RAM discs thinking it sounded very like the VHS & Betamax senario. So what is the deal with + & - the lite on plays either.
Also if I want to record a series, [I work night duty] do I have to use a new disc for every episode since I do not have a hard drive, or is there a way to format it under chapters which would alow me to record more than one episode per disc.
