I bought Hollow Man from them release 2/1 and oredered it on 31/12. It arrived yesterday. £14.68 it was. Quite cheap. You also get discount if pre ordering.

How pants is the ALBA 103?

Ok I have seen it mentioned 50 or more times that people think this DVD player is Pants.

My sister in law got one for xmas and she has asked my opinion. Well I had to be polite about it but........

It is pants aas far as I can tell.

I here it doesn`t play RCE is that right?

She ordered Holow Man from the states and It is RCE will she have to send it back?

Is the best thing she can do with this play is to take a baseball bat to it. or take it back to ASDA and stick it sidie ways up the sales repps arse and set fire to it?

I would have to say it kicks ass the LG3200e does all I ever wanted DVD to do. If you are still considering buying one try to get a newer model one. The hack doesnt work unless you have firmware 1.1 or 1.2.

worked out to be 14 quid. Excellent. Bet when it comes out march over here it is around 20 quid.

I beleive 1.1 or 1.2 are remote hackable. Mine is 1.2 and Another guy somewhere in the threads has 1.1

If yours is 1.0 then you will have no luck. If you don`t know the firmware remote code to show it. Check the threads cos it is in there. Would give you it but I cant remember it and I seen it somewhere in the threads.

I would be grateful if anyone can tell me so way decent sites to order region 1 dvd`s from that ship to the UK. If no delivery charges then all the better.

Must be cheaper than DVD`s from here cos I reckon retaillers should be wearing masks and robbing banks with the prices they charge.

Anybody know of any?

Remember that the states use NTSC.

Have you hooked up Via Scart? Has your TV got RGB Capability. This could be your problem. I found This sort of problem long before the DVD when using the NTSC brand Playstation stuff through my Video SCART. When I hooked it up it was Black and white and meshed. Straight into the back of my TV though you get no problem.

Better yet if you have Sky Digital. SCART it to the Digi Box. Works A treat. As for changing the code using the HACK. Just re-enter it. No Problem.

Yeap it definately worked mine too.

The wife gave me the DVD player early to try it out and it took it no problem at all.

Got it off the DrDVD site.

Seems to be a mixed reaction though cos a mate tried it and I talked him through it and it didn`t work.

Probably a certain batch I guess. Best thing to do is if anyone would like to put there boxes serial code an batch number on this page we might see a trend.

Right then.

I have been doing aa bit of surfing here and found one that MAY or MAY NOT work.

Some geezer said that this hack worked on his but was unsure how long it lasted.

POWER ON PLAYER WITH NO DVD IN TRAY
PRESS PAUSE
KEY IN 314159(THE DISPLAY SHOULD THEN SHOW CODE 00)
SELECT 0 FOR MULTI REGION
PRESS PAUSE
POWER OFF DVD PLAYER FOR A SHORT PERIOD.

IT SHOULD THEN WORK.

I can`t try this on mine till XMAS but if someone wants to give it a try go right ahead and Post a reply if it works.
