Well tricky dicky u must have a problem with your tele mine is a panasonic 36" tau wide screen and it produces a perfick picture. If the scan was £300 people would still buy it.
I buy things for the features it has, not because its a named brand
if i have to buy a named brand so be it but whos to say that the components in the cheaper brand are not the same in both products.

IRONDUKE AS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!

Ironduke how can it be impossible to watch a few dvds in 5 days when most films are 2-3 hours long. Can you not add up or are you just plain thick!
Any way my reply to Bernie as nothing to do with a low life like you who as nothing better to do except give abuse and slag people off. "I AM A BIG MAN I CAN SWEAR WOW"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Lets face it if you have nothing better to say better to keep your big mouth shut because no one is intrested the only people who are intrested are people like your self ie: Bear.

Any one who is intrested in buying a excellent dvd/mp3/vcd player at resonable price £175.00 will be better off waiting a few days for scan to take delivery of the next batch.
The 5th jan batch of 800 dvd players sold out in 3 days so 850 more people must think ironduke & bear talk out of their arse thats why their breath smells!!!!!!!!!!!!.

RE: Is January 5th Scan OK?

I got my scan 2000sc on fri 5/01/01 and i have watched a few different dvd and the picture and sound are top class.
The mp3 play back through my hi fi is excellent i would totally advise on buying a scan for £175.00 the only problem is have they any left!!!
The people who have had problems are the ones who moan and rightley so!! but i bet if you weigh up how many have been sold i bet its only a small percentage that get sent back.
And at the end of the day those people who are having problems will get a working player some time or another.
My advise is buy a scan!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my scan 2000 on friday 5/1/01 works a treat excellent picture and everthing that it supposed to do it does i would recomend this player to any one who is thinking about buying one. Well done scan.

Thanks for the advice i will not be buying a logix machine now how can bimbo say that advise is advertising if i had not got some advice i could have bought some thing which is inferior. As for the negative mail about scan think about how many machines scan must have sold and i bet that if you count how many have had problems i bet its a low percentge against whats been sold. A supplier will not keep on re ordering a dodgy product and keep on getting returns of faulty machines and all the ear ache and bad publicity that goes with it or he will call it a day [ you would not keep buying light bulbs with no element would you!!]

Also bimbo talking of advertising why do you answer every question in the forum and say that the aiwa 370 is the best you have even made a web site to your favorite player you either get paid for this blatant advertising or you are sad and don"t get out much!

HELP WITH DVD PLAYERS

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME UNBIASED OPINIONS ON THE SCAN 2000, MANHATTEN 2000, AIWA 370,THEY ALL HAVE THE FUNCTIONS I WANT WHATS WRONG WITH THE SCAN! OTHER THAN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. IS THE MANHATTEN THE SAME MACHINE AS THE SCAN AND WHAT MAKES THE AIWA BETTER THAN THESE 2.ARE THERE ANY OTHER MACHINES OUT THERE THAT HAVE THE SAME FUNCTIONS AND AT A RESONABLE PRICE I AM NEW TO DVD SO ANY CONSTRUCTIVE ADVICE WOULD BE WELCOME THANK YOU....
