RE: Philips DVDr610 BLOCKED message
Well; I join the DVDR610 BLOCKED club !! :/
In the midst of a DVD I pressed pause, and then after a few minutes
the TV screen went black. When I next tried to eject the disc the
recorder displayed BLOCKED....The Philips support site suggests
a problem due to static electricity, but unplugging the recorder does not help.
I have seen previous posting suggesting that the dealer lock may
be activated. I tried one suggestion, first unplugging and pressing
eject + stop + play while plugging in again. I then see displayed codes
starting with NUC (what are these ?), but that is about it. The whole thing
fininshes with FAIL 090005.
The users manual suggests that BLOCKED is due to mechanical reasons.
What could they possibly be ? Could some moving parts activated by pause
block the eject ?
How could possibly a dealer lock be activated out of the blue ???
