Thats exactly what happend to mine. I spoke to the company that sold me the player and that is the only code that comes with the machine .

Have tried that , but is still comes up "wrong region" when i put a region 1 disc .

I have a PHILIPS DVD R 70 , i was given the code to change to multi-region . But it does not work.
Has anyone any ideas what else i can do....
