RE: Samsung TruSurround XT (SRS TSXT) for LE26R51BD

Thanks a lot timechaser. I think I`ll have a go at this, as it won`t cost a fortune.

RE: Samsung TruSurround XT (SRS TSXT) for LE26R51BD

Timechaser, I hope you can get this. I had a look around at some 2.1 Speaker sets and they were really expensive - then I saw this: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?BEL-14390
Can you (or anyone) tell me please if this would do the job you describe? Thanks.

RE: Samsung TruSurround XT (SRS TSXT) for LE26R51BD

Thanks for this Timechaser. It`s probably saved me a lot of messing about with the set. Just to show how ignorant I am about such stuff, what is a 2.1 speaker set and how much room does it take up? (That`s my problem - the space). Thanks again.

Samsung TruSurround XT (SRS TSXT) for LE26R51BD

Hi
I think the original thread for this TV has probably run its course. So, can anyone please tell me how to get a reasonable surround sound from this set? I have it set to TruSurround and have tried 3D Mono and Stereo settings. Neither seems to give any effect at all. There`s no way we could fit in a Home Movie setup. I`ve had virtual Dolby before and it was impressive. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

RE: Samsung LE26R51BD High Definition T.V

Hi! Mine says SN 05.09.01 (which could well be a date). I haven`t tried Freeview, as I have Sky. It would still be interesting to find out though. Good luck. :)

RE: Samsung LE26R51BD High Definition T.V

Thanks everyone for your helpful advice. I now have the TV set up and the picture is unbelievable. :) I have it on Progressive Scan and don`t need my specs any more. :B However, I still have one problem. :( My last TV had surround speakers and the one before that had Virtual Dolby, both of which gave good all round sound effects. I`ve tried different settings on the Samsung - Mono 3D and Stereo, but don`t seem to be getting any kind of surround sound. Please, does anyone have any suggestions? We don`t have room for any kind of Home Cinema. Thanks.

RE: Samsung LE26R51BD High Definition T.V

Does the LE26R51BD allow Progressive scan? Apart from a DVD source which outputs Prog Scan, is there anything else I need?

RE: Samsung LE26R51BD High Definition T.V

Newbie!! What`s happened. Perhaps too many people have been taking advantage of this offer. I`ve just logged on to Dixon`s site and the LE26R51BD is now £745!!! Taking off the £50 now makes it their original price of £699. Am I being done? Or perhaps someone knows where I can still get £50 off their £699 price. That would be good. From what you`re saying, it would probably be worth the £699 compared to other TVs, but £50 is £50. Hope you can help. Thanks.
ps Nomino Hi! After I`d posted this, I noticed that you`d been watching Progressive Scan. I thought I had the full spec for this TV, but I didn`t know it had that feature. My DVD recorder can output Progressive scan. Is there anything special I need to get this working? Thanks again.
I`ve just `phoned the store and they have it at £799. It seems you guys have been really lucky.
12-09-05 This has now gone beyond a joke. I decided that the TV was probably worth the £699, so I went online and ordered it at £749 less the £50 discount. I printed out the order with the discount. I`ve just `phoned them and they say they can`t find anywhere that says Dixon`s have a £50 discount and that I`ll have to order it at the full price of £749 (that`s £100 more than you guys paid) and then take it up with Dixon`s.
