Opinions on a phone needed (please)

It`s that time of the year when I can upgrade my phone. I was thinking of leaving Orange however they will offer (according to the website when logged in) this phone for free. Does anyone have any experience of this phone? Reviews good and bad welcomed.

Thanks

:D

RE: RIP Setanta GB

ESPN are now added to the news package bundle on Sky. Onyl £1 per month extra as opposed to the £12.99 Setanta were charging. I`m a happy baseball fan! :D

RE: Letter to the MPs (sent to all parties)

Miles, I figured that. :D

And I tell my students to proof read their work!! :o

RE: Letter to the MPs (sent to all parties)

It was sent to all of the parties I could find contact details for. Miles, the Labour party is not a lecturer, it was merely a slip of the keys. I`ll await a response form one or all of them.

Letter to the MPs (sent to all parties)

I am sick and tired of being bombarded with piles of junk mail telling me who I should be voting for. Anyway, I have sent this e mail to local MPs and to those wanting my vote on Thursday. I have tried to contact my local MP/candidate with no success - none of the buggers send a response or call me back after I have left messages in their office. Is there anything I should be adding? Be polite please! ;)

Quote:
Good Afternoon,

I have received an unsolicited mail from yourselves regarding the upcoming elections. It would appear that the only time you care about my voice and opinion is this time of year. Whilst this may be standard practice, I am capable of conducting my own research and formulating my own opinion. I am still undecided at the moment as the choice seems to be to vote for:

A party with no moral fibre, backbone and leader who is in office undemocratically;
A party of hooray Henry`s who think they are in touch with the electorate en masse;
A bunch of xenophobes hiding behind the skirt of politics and so called democracy and a better Britain for all.

Needless to say, I will be voting as my vote is important, as I mentioned I am still undecided. Perhaps you can explain to me why we are still operating an election under antiquated and frankly outdated means of voting? Is this merely the big parties trying to secure their own seats/power base? Also, why have the MPs caught up in the claims scandals not been fired or suspended from post? In any other job an employee would be sacked for gross misconduct!

As a university lecturer, the labour party has severely damaged the higher education system. We are now having to operate on capped numbers, yet we can take money from international students who are expected to pay 3 times as much as a UK student! Where is the logic in this? I welcome applications from potential students onto my programmes regardless of where they are from, as long they meet the entry requirements and are willing to study. The labour party has started to put the nails into the coffin of higher education in this country. What will you do to meet the needs of UK & international students?

I should be grateful for a response to this email ahead of the upcoming elections.

I very much welcome your response.

Sincerely,

I hope to get a response from one of them. What`s the usual turn around time for a response?

Thanks
:D

RE: We are top of the league, I say we are top of the league.

Look forward to it. As a Derby man I shouldn`t say this but.......

I hope Shottingham Forest stay up.

That way we can crucify them again next season. Looking forward to an interesting and exciting season. :D

RE: We are top of the league, I say we are top of the league.

Well done to Leicester. Look forward to seeing you at Pride Park next season (for a thrashing of course!!) ;)

RE: Casino Royale Deluxe Edition Blu Ray - £7.98 (or cheaper)

I ordered this in the 3 for 2 offer at £7.98 and had it confirmed. I`ll wait and see if I get it. :p The others have shipped on Amazon Prime, this one is still on order.
:D

RE: Clough Documentary on ITV on Wed

Hi,

Did anyone record this? I was out on an emergency call and forgot to switch on the recorder. I`d be most grateful and of course will pay any postage and disc costs etc.

Thanks

:D :D

RE: romantic break for 2 - can anyone help??

Hi,

You could try here. I can recommend it as i am slightly biased as I used to work there.

Alternatively, you could try here also. The ex GM is a friend of mine so I can again recommend it.

Hope it helps

RE: Blu Ray Writers..

I have this on my pc which burns BD`s nicely. It comes packaged with cyberlink software which is ok (after a few updates). As for burning BD`s, it`s quick, easy and hassle free and the included burning software is good.

:D

RE: Tony Hart..

A real shame. He was in the same league as Johnny "think of a number" Ball as a great host. Sadly missed :(

RE: CV - job issue!!

Personally, I would go for it, especially if it is the job you really want. From my experience of interviewing for staff, I would look at the character of the person sat in front of me and their desire to progress. Don`t let (only) 6 months of A & E stop you from applying. I`m sure 6mths in A & E is like 12 months in any other job!! :D :D :D

Good luck!

1 TB External HDD for £70 delivered (if you use local store delivery)

I was looking the bargains on Hot UK Deals and came across this bargain. A 1tb external hdd for under £70. :D :D :D

RE: Snow Watch 2009.

According to the news this morning it will be -10c in the early morning around 4-5am. Oh the joy of walking the dogs in the morning!

That will teach me for buying a house in one of the highest towns in the UK! :p

RE: Snow Watch 2009.

About an inch of snow this morning in sunny Buxton. Expected to be -10 tomorrow (:¦

RE: Never mind the best - whats the worst film you saw in 2008?

Without a doubt Cloverfield was the biggest piece of over rated s**t!! :p

Besides the Dark Knight, I can`t really think of a film that was exceptional, Indy Jones was a bit of a let down (maybe because i`m not 11 years old anymore!)

Any help appreciated

RE: For Sale: PC Games up for sale/give-away

RE: Buying DVDs From American/Canadian Websites

You can also try dvdconcept.com They offer region 1 & 2 movies all with free shipping. The last time I ordered they were shipped from Switzerland and I did not get stung by customs - not a guarantee though.

Hope it helps

:D

RE: Tony Hancock Collection- 8 disc boxset £16.99 at CDWow

Bugger!! Out of stock. Thanks to the OP for a good tip. :D

RE: Soldier is refused room at hotel

This is shocking and disgusting. I spent the last 18 years in the international hospitality industry and now lecture in hospitality & culinary arts. I have never come across this kind of behaviour. I am appalled that a member of our armed forces is treated in such a way. In my day they would have been offered a room at a seriously discounted rate or free if possible.

I hope that the hotel concerned is truly embarassed. This really does make my blood boil.

RE: Virgin Media - Any Good?

Thanks for all the info and opinions. I shall do some more research now on the two i`m considering.

Thanks

:D :D

RE: Virgin Media - Any Good?

Seems as though i`m going to give them a wide berth.Anyone got any experiences of Sky? They have the whole tv, bb and phone package.

Thanks

:D

RE: Virgin Media - Any Good?

Thanks for the advice. According to thier website it`s unlimited downloads (with a fair use policy) on Bundle 2

I think it`s ADSL as we`re not cable ready up here (in sunny Buxton!). Not too bothered about tv at the mo as we have sky. Was looking at Sky`s package of tv, bb and phone also.

Unfortunately, i`m not with O2 - stuck with another colourful mobile provider

Thanks

:D

Virgin Media - Any Good?

Thinking about swapping current service provider for BB & phone (BT :( ) to Virgin. I`m thinking of the £14.99 package per month of phone and BB from Virgin (can`t get virgin tv up here - middle of the countryside). Virgin`s package is half of what we`re paying at the mo for a so/so service from BT.

Anyone got any experience of Virgin Media good or bad?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Advance Screening of Hellboy 2 - Free Tickets!!

To be honest no I have not had any luck. Never really crossed my mind really - until now. Oh well, just like the lottery, i`ll keep on trying!

:D

RE: Advance Screening of Hellboy 2 - Free Tickets!!

Shame about that. Guess a few places may be full or getting there. Really want to see it myself though - too much work on at the mo preparing for the new student intake!

Was it me or was Hellboy on ch5 edited last night?
