RE: Sony DAV-S300.
Thats gr8 guys. But after careful consideration, im gonna go with seperates. Sony DB940 amp, LG 3350 DVD and some mission speakers. More expensive, but worth it I reckon, cos ill be wanting to play quite a few cd`s includign CD-R`s. And it can be multi-region hacked.
RE: Aiwa 370?
I think i`m gonna go for the LG 3350 it seems good, and the mp3 playback sure would be good. Thanx for the help.
RE: Aiwa 370?
Thats great guys. The Aiwa 370 sure does sound like a good idea. But having searched around the web a while.... it doesnt seem to exist! Where on earth do I buy it, I cant find it on the comet website as suggested, or anywhere else for that matter.... HELP!
RE: www.Play247.com FANTASTIC
I agree. Ive ordered 4 dvds and 2 cds from them so far. All arrived within 4 days. The CDs were sent first class air-mail from brussels and came even quicker! I highly reccomend them. Price is first class too.
and no, i dont work for them...
Aiwa 370?
I`m planning on investing in a new Sony STRDB940 A/V receiver, mission speakers and a new dvd player. But WHICH ONE???? Decent CD playback is essential, and MP3 and multi-region would be great. Preferably around the £300 mark. Anyone got any ideas? Maybe the Aiwa 370?
RE: Cool new forum!
Received dvd player and dvds. so i really reccomend, empiredirect - good site, fast delivery, cheap prices and good customer support. I also recommend play247, delivery takes a while but price is good.
RE: cast away....when?
Castaway, good? You make me laugh, it was the most boring film ive seen in ages...
Cool new forum!
Ive just ordered a samsung 511 from empiredirect.co.uk, it seems to be a good site offering the cheapest prices I could find for loadsa dvd players. The delivery is a bit steep tho, cosidering quite a few places offer free delivery, but the cheap prices make up for it. I also ordered some dvds from play247.co.uk, all the new dvds seem to be £15 which seems good to me, the three I ordered were all despatched next day (yesterday) and im looking forward to receiving them!!! Ill keep u up to date on how my empiredirect order goes... but so far i reccomend both these sites.

RE: Sony DAV-S300.
Thanx Ben, but does anyone else know for sure if it can be done (play tv through the speakers)? Help would be really appreciated. Thanx.
RE: Sony DAV-S300.
I`m planning on getting one of these, but could anyone please tell me if you can use the speakers with normal (digital) television, or just with DVD?
RE: Come ON people!
Also, does anyone know about the incompatibility with DVD`s such as the Matrix on this model? And also on the Samsun 709/909?
RE: Come ON people!
Thanx a lot andy. So, for £150, its a good buy as my first DVD player with my thomson 28inch tv? Anyone else got a Thomson 3300?
Come ON people!
Surely SOMEONE has tried the Thomson 3300? Cos £150 sure does seem like a good price for it! Someone pleeeease give me some advice on whether to buy it or not!!!! thanx.
Thomson DVD-3300, yes or no? And Manhattan-2000.
EmpireDirect.co.uk are currently offering the Thomson 3300 player for just £150 which seems good to me considering it was originally £350 when it was first released and also cos ive got a thomson tv. But it is pretty old now, about a year. Anyone got any ideas on whever I should get it or not? Any help would be really appreciated.

p.s. Also, what do people think about the new Manhattan-2000, does anyone have it?
