Scan SC2000 - My new player is not playing some of my Audio CD-R`s

My replacement Scan player (which I received about 2 months ago) is not playing some of my Audio CD-R`s. I went through my whole collection last night and found 8 it would not play. I am certain these were playing on the unit which was returned. Is anyone else having any similar problems ?
Should I contact Scan for another replacement unit ??
PS I am currently running V2.14 F/W.

It`s one of the best I have seen - very well laid out etc
Try using the one with Hitachi DVD players - it is absolute garbage.

RE: MP3 CD-R Burning

You want to use some software like `Music Match Jukebox`.
When the put a CD in your PC CD Drive, it goes onto the web and locates the CD in the CDDB. This then automatically displays the CD Title and all of the Track titles. When ripping down to MP3 the info is automaically put into the MP3 header. The MP3 disk you then create will then obviously contain all this info - the tracks will still however be placed in alphabetical order (unless you rename them in the order you want as TRACK001, TRACK002 etc ...)

Scan SC-2000 `MP3 Fastforward and rewind` New functionality

I have installed the latest V2.14 F/W on my Scan.
I have just noticed that Fastforward and Rewind now works when playing MP3 disks - a terrific feature !

Was this introduced in V2.14 ?

Scan SC-2000 `Not playing SVCD`s`

This problem was apparently intoduced in V2.14 Firmware - is anyone looking into fixing it ?

Also, there was some talk about F/W supporting long MP3 file names - is this still a possible future enhancement.

My understanding is that the 750s plays MP3 disks whilst the 750 doesn`t.

Scan SC-2000 `Some Audio CD`s are not playing`

I have now discovered 3 of my Audio CD`s so far that will not play at all on the Scan DVD Player (I`m fairly certain they did play on the unit that ws returned a couple of weeks ago).
The display just says LOAD but does not attempt to play the CD.

Is anyone else having similar problems ?

I`m certain I am not the only person having problems with R2 Disney DVD`s (currently running V2.08 Firmware) as I believed this was a long standing problem.
Let`s get those replies in so Nelley can address the problem.

I have also found a couple of my Audio CD`s do not play (the machine just sits there saying loading) - Has anyone one else experienced similar problems ?

"No problem disks" - try playing a R2 Disney DVD !

Do we now have a "VCR friendly" version of V2.11 ?

Would it be possible to consider this as a F/W upgrade.
Obviously standalone CD players mute the Audio Output when the CD is being fastforwarded.

I have the Disney DVD "The Sword in ths Stone". It played perfectly well until I swapped out my player last Friday - the new unit with V2.08 firmware has terrible blocking problems on the screen when attempting to play the DVD in question.

Scan SC-2000 DVD Player - Suggestion for F/W Change to enable front panel lockout

Currently, the Scan SC-2000 machine only allows you to lock the front panel button when the machine it switched on; As soon as you switch to standby this function is disabled - However, it is when the unit is in Standby and I have gone out to the pub that I want to be able to lock the front panel and make it CHILD TAMPER PROOF !

This appears to be long standing problem; From this discusion forum I gather it was introduced with V2.04 Firmware.
I really would like to be able to play my R2 Disney DVDs !
