Page 1 of Scan SC-2000 DVD Player - When can we expect a fix for the "Not playing R2 Disney DVD`s" problem ?

The heading says it all !
This appears to be long standing problem; From this discusion forum I gather it was introduced with V2.04 Firmware.
I really would like to be able to play my R2 Disney DVDs !

Ive just sent them 4 problem titles to test.They shouild have recieved
them by now and we will get some feed back soon.

Which Disney R2 DVDs did you have in mind ?

If Toy Story Ultimate Box set or Fantasia Box set are some of them, I thought that it was generally agreed that the DISCS were faulty and NOT the player (ie Scan) as dozens of players can`t play either of these discs ... BUT Disney are refusing to except any blame (despite the R1 version of BOTH discs working perfectly)

I have the Disney DVD "The Sword in ths Stone". It played perfectly well until I swapped out my player last Friday - the new unit with V2.08 firmware has terrible blocking problems on the screen when attempting to play the DVD in question.

Same problem for "Alice in wonderland". Starting from the firmware 2.04 I get an unreadable picture with blocks, and scrambled sounds.
Reverting back to the 1.93 firmware cancels the problem, so this is not a disc issue but a firmware issue.

Just hold fire until i get the macrofree verion of 211.Shouild be avilable
for download from our site tommorow.
