I now know it is how warm the room gets Turned heating up The TV would not stay on/off to IT turned heating down Then IT felt cold + It will get colder so IF will need to turn heating up

Recording from Tivo

Is it possible to record from Tivo onto DVR with TV switched off Want to free up some space on Tivo put a programme onto DVD Do this while I am in bed but don`t want to leave TV switched on overnight Not sure with TV switched off if prerecorded programme on Tivo will stop playing

I do have low energy lightbulbs Never thought of that When it switches itself off on it makes a ping noise Comes from corner of room Maybe it is just Gremlins

I spoke to soon TV has started turning itself off/on again Spoke to finlux engineer he suggested taking batteries out of remote and moving remote to other room I did that ,did not work Will have to get finlux engineer out they seem relutant to come maybe have to come from Finland Sometimes TV will not stay on/off I have a humidifer I wondered if that could affect it moved it as far away from TV as can Modum for computer is now next to TV Had to move it to improve signal to Android stick Virgin engineer said that should not affect TV sensor

I never thought about needing drivers for the USB adapter I saw 1 on ebay thought good idea better than spending £50 on a booster Will look into that Had moved super hub closer to android stick Signal went from poor to excellent but cabling was dangerous so had to move it back Virgin would come out to cut cable but would have to pay it not been nessasary work

I finally redeemed my voucher Had to set up account with flixster They gave me a free movie to IT had bought the Xmas Dr Who to This did not have a Ultra Violet copy I bet when BBC bring out the full season Dr Who they will all have Ultra Violet

ethernet to USB adapter

I am with Virgin and have a so called super hub The WIFI signal is very weak so IF have an ethernet cable for my computer This is fine but IT also have an android stick which is plugged into TV and can only work on WIFI so IF thought I would run an ethernet cable to an USB to ethernet adapter and plug the USB into the android stick by way of a 4 way USB hub Would this work I am on a budget so don`t have £50 to spend on boosters I want to stream Netflix so IF can watch it on my TV from my sofa

No sound on TV

I have lost my sound on my TV I get my channels through Tivo + Virgin media My TV is only 3 month old I set up my DVD player No sound on that either I am not sure if it is virgin media or Finlux to contact My TV had been switching itself off+ on again a problem I thought I had sorted IT get my channels through both HD + scart cables Both seem fine

I have moved my Virgin super hub so it is closer to my android stick The signal strength has gone from good to excellant Now I have all the cable wiring to contend with Now 15 metre to long Still unable to stream Netflix Perfect on TV Rather watch it on TV Can stream PPS fine Cannot understand the language

Ultra Violet

I have just bought doctor who series 7 part 1 In it is a voucher where I can get a digital copy of my DVD if I logged onto BBCUltraViolet.com I have tried this but IT cannot find the site My main page is Virgin who use google. I know nothing about Ultrs Violet

They have been offering a lot of sale goods so they must be desparate I feel for workers no matter how badly trained they are I went into comet to look at HD TV 3 staff desended on my like vultures trying to sell me a £900 3D TV INTO hate 3D makes me feel sick watching it IS eventually bought my TV from Amazon free deliverly in 48 hours the high street cannot compete with internet that is why more stores are going online I have a Morrisons down the road you cannot online shop with them but they always seem busy

Game apps

I love playing tribez but to progress on in the game you could find yourself spending a lot of money At the moment they want you to build 5 halloween lanterns to scare off the ghosts Each lantern cost 10,000 coins It cost over £60 to buy 78,000 coins You can earn them but it takes a lot of time. Then to expand your terrority costs coins or jewels It cost £60+ over to buy 1800 jewels You can earn them by doing the quests but not the amount you need You would have to play forever I think the builders think because you have an android,lapton,tablet or whatever you have money to burn.

I queued up around the block at the old Odeon cinema to see Star Wars,The empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi Loved the triology but it should have been left at that Guess IT will have something to share with this generation but IT agree Lucas is now just in it for the money 4 Billion of it

Elementary

Just seen Elementary a U.S version of Sherlock Holmes It had a feel of Monk An X police officer giving his advice to the police aided and abetted by his carer, who helps him solve the case I think the BBC have done it better with Sherlock but I ask why is it that the hero genius is tackling some demon including the original Sherlock Holmes is it so the audience like them better and can relate to them more

I think I now have the problem sorted on advice from this forum and Finlux I have moved my cordless phone to other side of room and touch wood it has stopped doing it so many thanks to all those who gave their help I hope it lasts longer than 3 years My old LG TV was 8 year old and still working when I gave it away through freecycle

streaming netflix

I have bought a TV internet HDMI android 4.0 stick which I plug into the HD port It works great with internet, games etc but I cannot stream netflix or any other video but youtube is fine I just on,t use it because I get it with my virgin account. All the time the film freezes I am running it on WIFI with a new virgin super hub It is advertised as working with netflix

I have been in touch with Finlux Direct did not try Amazon because there customer services are rubbish They suggested moving the home phone which is wireless Having mobile phone switched off which is pointless but IT tried that Today with mobile phone switched off Home phone moved it is worse than ever The TV seems to have nervous breakdown Work fine few hours Then switct itself off/on Now it changes sources tonFlicks through them for a few mins before it settles down

Yes the radiato is near the TV but IT cannot move the TV a gas fire is on other side and the cabling for plugs is to short It was doing it this morning and heating had been off over 12 hours I am getting in touch with makers on Mon It has 12 month guarantee Think control in TV is faulty

New Finlux HD T V keeps turning itself off and on

I bought a new Finlux 42 HD from Amazon It worked fine, but it seems since I put on the central heating the TV keeps switching itself off and on I thought it might be my new Virgin super hub because when I got that that was when it first happened I thought the WIFI might be interferring with infared I switched it off but it still did it IS even took out all the batteries from spare remotes I need advice on how to stop this happening

Picking up freeview with an indoor digital aerial

My new HD TV has built in freeview so I bought an indoor digital aerail. I never had 1 on my roof. It does not seem to pick up any channels. It is supposed to be amphilied. The lead is male to male and very short so I cannot put it very high or far from TV. Is there anything I can do to help pick up my signal. I have looked into haing 1 put on roof which I share with 3 other flats, got a quote of £168 which is a lot of money. The other flats have sky TV

Oh right I was told it was postponed. I was very scared of the daleks, the cybermen and the sea creatures. I think the sea creatures are supposed to be extinct. All the daleks, cybermen seemed to be male. Was shown on cybermen that males, females are used to make the cybermen.

Yes just 1 which I am using for my DVD that is old 2. I am using a HD lead for my Tivo box. My Tv has 2 USB fittings and 4 HD fittings. I have had TV only a few days, Still getting used to it. Tried following instructions to use DVD via RCA fittings but just blank screen

Yes I think they do kill off Amy. Rory very distract just leaves. I still cannot get my head round River been Amys daughter. I jusy know Amy would never give up looking for her so maybe thats how they should have written her and Rory out of the Series. I am looking forward to the 50th Anniversary special. I am with Virgin and have been since I got my flat 3 and half years ago. I got virgin because I don`t have an outside aerial and that was the cheaper option. Now I never seem to pay less that £60 a month. My new TV has built in freeview so I looked at having an aerial put up and just using that. The estimates where £150 and more. I do love my Universal channel that is why I pay for Virgin. I am on the large package. With all the streaming you can do nowadays, I think Virgin and Sky will have to lower their prices. I cannot stream at moment because my computer is too old and does not have the right fittings or else I would

Streaming Video

My computer is bout 8 years old. It is a Medion windows XP. I thought it had VGA fittings at the back but now I realise it does not, just video in and out sockets. I want to stream netflix to my new TV which does have VGA fittings. Is it possible to buy a cable with VGA fittings one end, RCA fittings the other and then stream netflix.
