I got my upgrade disc today, and it did remove the region hack..........but Its just the same as it was, menu,1,6,7, mute. Easy. Now my toy story Disc 3 works. yey

The most Boring feature on a DVD ever!!!!!!!

The Composer commentry on The 6th Day is the most pointless ,boring thing i have ever heard. Its some old fart talking about how he composed the sountrack. YAWn . I love film commentriers but this is crap.

At Hmv. ok they arnt exactly A class titles but they did have a few good/wellknown ones se7en,hollowman ummmmmmm

anyways I got little nicky and deuce bigalow for £20 and they are both very funny.

duh, maybe its a dvd copy (a dvd-r) theres no way it can fit on a cd and play in your dvd player

Press Bookmark
Press menu
Press 597 then Exit

this is exactly what i did and my player now goes through my vcr.

But im not sure if it is this hack or if its my new vcr.

Ring up the helpline that is on the main menu, say that you are having problems playing disneys dinosoar on your dvd player. they will take your address and will send you one. If you have a schnieder player just Say the matsui eqivilalent. ie schender 811 = Matsui 122.

have you tried the hack for the matsui 122 its in a post i made earlier, im pretty sure it works,but im not entirely sure cos i happened to swap my vcr with another newer one at the same time.

the schneider 811 i sa clone of a matsui 110 isnt it, the codes vary between the models.

its an alternative to the playstation 2 (nintendo are much better anyway)
Its very small, look at the size of the cd tray for an idea of its size, if its dimensions are the same as the original gamecube it is the size of 10 cd cases stacked up.

It will only play vcds on some Cd rewritable discs or original cds not cd recordable. if you do the hack that is! a dvd is a different type of disc and can hold a lot more (up to 19GB)information that a VCD that is why the sound and picture quality is so muh better, it also has room for the other sound tracks etc. A vcd is a normal cd(700mb) and is only slightly better picture quality than a videotape. also most Vcd movie come on more than 1 disc beacause they can only hold about 1 hrs f video.

there are 2 things you might want to do, download a program called dvdgenie.it allows you to play all regions under windvd. 2nd you might want to find a multi region firmware for you dvd drive,this will allow you to use dvd-rom features.

Ok right I might be gettting a handheld Lcd tv, It has an A/V input, does this mena that i could watch my dvd player ,vcr etc on it. how would i do it, would i need some sort of scart/composite adapter, or would it accept a coaxacial cable modifies to fit?

in the chain stores they arnt very helpfull, but richersounds has really excellent custoner care , so go there. I had a friend who was conned into buying a £320 sharp dvd playerabout a year ago. it doesnt even play the matrix or toy story properly. they were also told multi region dvd players are illegal.

The HImage 2290 Is back

Incase anybody wants this great little player, argos are now selling it under the alias The Bush dvd1000. thge only downside is that you will have to pay £150 instead of the original £109 and you will have to do the region hack yourself SHock horror.

A suggestion for a first DVD player.

If there is anybody who is wondering about buying a DVD player iknow of an excellent little bargain. Its the Himage2290/Bush1000 Avaible in argos and richer sounds. Its multi region plays all vcds , supports cdr and is macrovisoin disabled(which means it can record to video). It is also A very small size.
it cost £109 as the himage 2290 from richer sounds and £149 as the Bush 2290 although im not sure if richer sounds still sell it.

Cheap surround sound?

I went into maplins the other day and they were offering a a set that included a dolby decoder or amplifier (i dont know) sub woofer and 5 speakers for £150. i was wondering if anybody knows if this is a good deal. I think its about time I upgrade from mono sound.

when i said warped disks i mean that the laser cant read it properly it is soo minute. I have a friend who had a dreamcast game go the same. The work after they have been in the dvd player a while.
