RE: Pioneer DV535 v Cyberhome AD-M512?
Buy the pioneer 530 from www.multiregionmagic.co.uk £199 if you can afford it inc next day delivery. Its the same as the 535 except no optical out. and it has a nice brushed silver aluminium finish.
Plays any disc R1 R2 RCE VCD CDRW no mp3 though. Manual and auto switching macro disabled. Best picture by far in this price range and the sound is great. you can`t go far wrong.
RE: pioneer dvd 535 why is it dicontinued so early after its release?
I got the 530 from www.multiregionmagic.com (my misses likes silver) and the picture quality is excellent. Ive owned and tried several other machines in the past and this one beats them all hands down have had no trouble with it at all.
Plays evey disc i throw at it RCE etc even my non standard vcd`s i made myself (studio mp10, 3000 bitrate) .Music is great.Though it wont play mp3s. so what, and i dont have to bother with any of this firmware bullshit that certain other brands have(scan anyone).

RE: A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH
If you want to get rid of macro try www.lektropacks.co.uk
they do assorted boxes that do this starting from 35 quid i my self have a cm 1 video enhancer (£60)) which also lets you adjust sharpnes and colour.
ps these boxes also work with video and sky boxoffice
