RE: SC-2000 FW 2.14 -> 2.33

I agree, but I just wonder what is new in the 2.33 version (compared with 2.14)?

SC-2000 FW 2.14 -> 2.33

I am using 2.14 and it is working VERY good.

Is there any point to upgrade to 2.33?

More possibilities?
Still macrovision free?
Other improvements on the DVD side? (I read that VCD works/looks better).

[DiViDo owners; you know that this is the same DVD player as SCAN-2000]

RE: Macrovision off SC2000, DiViDo --> SCAN SC2000

Ohh, yes !!!

Now I can turn the macrovision off, tried yesterday with a reg 2 movie.

The DiViDo is a SCAN SC-2000 from now on ;-)

Everything works fine so far...

Thank you xeno and NiVZ (for the FAQ).

Macrovision off SC2000, DiViDo

(Posted 2nd time)

Hi,

I was looking for a multiregion hack for this Divido DVD and found out that the SC-2000 was the same player. I tried the hack from this site and it worked with the small difference; pt 4: the buttons (code) was not 2,0,1,0 or 3,0,1,0 but 4,0,1,0.

Checking the system status window shows the following;

ADV7172
Custom id DIV
Main ver 191
Nav ver 9D2
Sub ver C5
...etc

(The zeroes removed)

The question is; How to disable the macrovision?

Is it just to make the upgrade to 214 ?

Is there any risk of destroying the player when doing this?

(Thanks to xeno and NiVZ for the VERY good information in these forums!)
