3 for 2 on GBA software?

WHSmiths are offering 3 games for the price of 2 for the gameboy advance. P&P is free on their website-although it seems to keep crashing my browser at the moment (anyone else get this problem?). This offer is also available in store, but their in store stock at my local branch is pretty poor at the moment. A great offer just in time for the release of the GBA SP.

RE: Packard bell 5.1 system

I don`t know the model number, can`t say i was paying that much attention. The sytem however is all black, the smaller speakers were small and squarish, it had an active subwoofer (again black), and the amp was smallish (shoe box sized) with a blue display.

Packard bell 5.1 system

Has anyone had any experience of the packard bell 5.1 system that they are selling at Dixons for £150?

The system looks ok, but at that price i am concerned that it can`t be all that great for that price. I would probably only use it as a bedroom setup for dvd and games consoles.

Any ideas?

RE: Anamorphic widescreen setup?

Many thanks for the help, just one more query then.

Whats the difference between 2:35:1 and 2:35:1 Anamorphic widescreen?

Anamorphic widescreen setup?

Is anamorphic picture presentation automatic if it is quoted on the dvd box?, as many of the titles I have say they are anamorphic but are not full screen on my Thompson widescreen TV. I am running a Sony NS300 machine scarted (not a full number pin scart lead) to the TV into AV1. The dvd player is set to 16:9. Whilst the TV will not let me adjust the zoom on the AV channels as per normal viewing.

The worst offender was Galaxy Quest which says anamorphic but was no better than 2.0:1. Is it my machine/TV combo or the disk/packaging being incorrect?

Many thanks

Recomendations for a cheap multiregion dvd player with RCE playback?

I am new to the whole dvd thing as was wondering if anyone had any recomendations for a cheap (<£200) multiregion dvd player that has RCE playback facilities. Preferably retailed through the high street, but not essential.
Many Thanks
