The m105 only allows the player to be region free once the hack has been input, it does not disable macrovision.

JVC CP-100SP

Does anyone know anything abouth this system? I have found out that the total output is 310 watts RMS and it features dts and Dolby Digital modes. Other than this I have been unable to find out much. Does anyone own it and know how it sounds?

JVC 24" Widescreen TV Problems- Please help!

Hi,
I just got a JVC widescreen TV for my room bujt I have a problem. Whenever a widescreen programme, DVD or programme on Sky comes on and it switches to full mode (ie 16:9) there is this constanbt whistling and I dont know how to get rid of it. Its not much of a problem when I`m watching a film loudly but watching stuff at a lower volume is torture. Please give me some advice as its driving me crazy.

Just a couple of quick qestions about this player as I may buy this to replace my 709 in order to get a certain home theatre system to work.
1. Does it have Digital Optical output?
2. Is it remote hacakble like it`s predecessors the 709 and 511?

I am writing this regarding the Sony HTK 475, you said you were ordering it. Did you receive it yet? If so how does it sound and are in impressed with it?
I am currently in a dilemma what sytem to get, the shortlist is the HTK 475 or the Digitheatre DTS. As people on this forum do not know much about the 475, could you perhaps shed some light on the subject?

Sony STE-DE475 & Sony SA-VE225 PASCAL speakers- The HTK 475

I was really considering purchasing this set-up for my bedroom but from what I`ve heard on this forum the PASCAL speakers aren`t very good. Anyone who has actually heard what the amp and speakers can do or anyone who has an opinion on this can you please reply to this thread as I really dont want to spend over £300 on a sub standard system as I`m sure many of you can appreciate. I have a very small room, about 8ft across so would this be sufficient? Also if people feel the HTK 475 is really not the option I should be looking at can you please recommend some other systems?

Is the DTS on the Seven 2 disk set 5.1 as my DVD player (Samsung 709) shows DTS 2CH when I skip through the audio tracks using the Audio button?

I am also looking for a home theatre system and am interested in the VS-10 but can anyone tell me the best place to get it from as I have seen some places possibly (This may be my interpretation) selling it with a sub and 2 speakers.

Bass and RMS

I am going to be purchasing a surround sound system soon and i have a few queries about the subwoofer and stuff. First up what does RMS stand for and what is its significance? Secondly will i notice a huge difference between 20W, 25W, 50W and 70W for subwoofers? Is it just the loudness or is the bass a factor as well? All help will be appreciated.

I went to HMV in Bond Street yesterday and found that they had about 8 boxsets but they were about £85 each. I picked one up in my hand and went to the till and asked if it should be £30. The man said they were all sold out even though i had one in my hand!!!! Some people may think it was an empty box but it wasnt as it was sealed and heavy. Even if it was empty what were HMV doing with an empty box of something they didn`t have. Even though i questioned him about it he insisted they were sold out so i gave up. Can anyone explain this as it seems a little odd to me?

I picked up 7 dvd`s in their sale though including Scum for £13. Not bad i suppose
