Well its been quiet in here since we`ve been sending out NDAs to everyone and getting them signed. Now you have all put your chuck hancock down on paper and can be officially slapped in the courts for revealing things you shouldn`t, we can get back to being more open here again. ;-)
So far everyone has agreed the flat £50 per review, thanks for not bitching too much about that one. We still aren`t sure about the columns yet, they probably aren`t still worth anything in the buyout.
The articles of course are all still being negotiated, as is the IP for my coding work and other miscellanious stuff. More on those when something is finalised.
We are hoping to sign something preliminary next week, with the full buyout probably a month after. As for the day to day running of the site after the sale, basically they are keen to keep as much as our current staff as possible, but obviously myself and Mark want to go do other things which leaves positions open. Plus of course they want more people on the content team, although they have their own plans for revenue streams.
I have friends I know who will handle the technical side, so basically its about maintaining continuity in the content side.
Hope all this rambling makes sense.
It`s a bit of a shame that the columns are deemed worthless as I think we`ve all written at least a couple of really important columns each. And with nearly 30 to my name it would have made a nice bonus on top of the reviews! If the new owners don`t want the columns then we can always flog them to someone else if we can find an interested party.
It`s going to be interesting to see how the future shapes up!

Our negotiations about the articles and hardware reviews just aren`t going well. I think this material clearly has value over and above the disc reviews, and I was hoping to take a holiday or something when we sold up.
Please call me to discuss the options
