Page 1 of Friends DVDs for 7quid all in....For older Seasons

I just noticed some Friends DVDs for 7quid all in, Check for yourself and see,,,,I think it is mainly older Series 2,3 and 4 ones, but still not bad I suppose.

I rechecked before I submitted this and it says stock on order so I dont know how long they will be....Surre its worth a nosey.

are they just the episodes 1-8,9-16,17-24 DVD`s?

only 4 episodes per disc tho! so £1.75 per episode

not really worth it as u can get all 8 series at WHSMITH for £15.99 BOGOF with 8 episodes per DVD so its £1 an episode

or the boxsets for £23.99 which still works out at £1 an episode but only series 2 to 6 available

I have seen boxsets cheaper but I am yet to decide on whether to get boxsets or seperates

P & P is £2.50 + 50p per item I think tho, but just goto your local store

HMV are doing all friends DVDs BOGOF at £13.99. Can`t remember what they are doing the boxsets for.

Series 1 - 6 have 8 epidodes per disc (4 on each side), so that 3 discs a season. But Series 7 & 8 only have 4 episodes per disc (plus the director`s cut of the same episodes on the flip side), so they are 6 discs per series.

just bought all boxsets 1-6 for £21.99 from HMV
£44.99 for series 7 & 8 but I did`nt buy them as I`m sure I`ve seen them cheaper elsewhere

thing is it would cost £13.99 x 6 = £83.94 but BOGOF =£41.97

so it`s £2 cheaper to buy them separate, £2 just for a cardboard box to put them in!

just played one of the DVD`s and I think it`s very poorly setup

I cannot skip thru episode apart from using FF!, no chapters

You`d think they wudda stuck a couple in at least so you can jump to certain bits!

oh well, I`m sure my backups will have chapters in them :)

Why would you want their to be chapters? Its only 22 minutes an episode !!!

I knew I`d be asked

what if you wanna show someone a certain part?

what happens if you fall asleep near the end?

or the doorbell rings, you press pause, you get talking at door, come back and pause has been knocked off?

or you get called away so far thru an episode or fall asleep and want to resume viewing a few days later

etc,etc

basically you will have to FF to the bit you are upto, which ain`t easy sometimes especially at 32X. If you go slower it takes longer etc

it wouldn`t have took them much to stick chapters in, so you could skip a few times. It`s only a simple 12kb .ifo file, not exactly quantum physics

Ok so you can`t skip thru an episode, but you can`t even skip episodes once you are playing one. You gotta go back to main menu

like I said very poor!
