I think FOPP are doing the philosphers stone at £7.99 if its of any use to anyone. No online store but the website is www.fopp.co.uk.

I have used DVDSOON several times now on pre-orders and have had no problems whatsoever, always receive discs early and within about 7 days of despatch.

I will continue to use them for pre-order region 1 as they are by far the cheapest.

I agree. Over 150 ordered, never waited longer than 10 days - normally 5-7 days.
Normally quick at sneding pre-orders before release date - got Bourne Identity a week before and XXX well before.
Not the best at replying to emails, but so cheap!

mikeyb & sportsmimic- Just because DVDSoon hasn't let you down (YET) doesn't mean they haven't let down many many others. Just take a look at the retailers forum & you're find loads of people that have been let down by DVDSoon. Being cheap is no use if they aren't reliable.
It's not just a one off with me- I've used them half a dozen times (or tried to) and I've been messed about with every order- 8 weeks for a disc to be posted out, or the wrong film being sent, or being over billed.
But the biggest wind up is that they NEVER answer an e-mail.
So if you want to carry on ordering from them, that's your choice, but don't be surprised if the people who have been pi**ed about by them speak out

I`m not suprised people are speaking out, I just wanted to state my case aswell. With most retailers there are horror stories, but if people just read these it wouldn`t be a fair assessment.
I never said they are perfect, just that they aren`t always bad. As you said, you make your own choice, and at the moment mine is dvdsoon!

Sports - you mention you have used DVD Soon for pre-orders and had no problems. Could it be that they can ship out bulk pre-orders, but are useless when it comes to standard orders?

I have used dvdsoon twice before and recieved my products intact within 5 working days so you could say that I have had a decent experiece with them because the dvds were quite good. One of them was friends season 2 boxset that eased passed something which I dare not utter.
