I`ve just posed a similar question on the Hardware forum - should have checked here as well!

There is another player that is not in the sale but may be of interest - the Mustek pl-207. I have found this for a few quid short of £250 at www.directfrom.com and use directcode 82.

The aldi brochure shows the depth of the player to be 5cm - this may be a clue to the model number. The Mustek is only 2.8cm thick. :/

Is the screen TFT?

Only I havn`t seen these letters appear and I understand that it needs to be a TFT screen to get a decent picture.

According to the Aldi website it is an LCD screen ? Any other comments?

Also found another `budget type` player - the Cyberhome CH-LDV 71. Is there are reviews of the Portable DVD Players available at the moment? Would be great to see some mag reviews, :/

Personally would take the Cyberhome if it was cheap enough.
