Bargain Buckets Forum
PC World are selling this for `half price` today and tomorrow only. It seems to be one of their exclusive models, so I couldn`t compare prices. Dixons have it for the same price online only. Its basically 80 quid give or take a few pence for a 3.2 million pixel camera. Auto focus, 2x digital zoom. No memory card, but 16mb of internal memory.
On the back of the box it says SD/MMC card, does this mean it takes both? If so, is there any significant difference between them? PC World tried to sell me an SD card `half price` at 50 quid, but I refused saying I`m sure I can get one cheaper. The bloke then gave me a free card reader instead!! :/ :D
RE: PC World Kodak cx4310
The user manual is on line here
The nearest Kodak model is probably the Kodak CX 6200 which cost about the same link
The 6200 is a 2Mp, with an all glass lens and max aperture of f4.5, it`s reasonably compact and light. The 4310 is a genuine 3.2Mpix camera with a glass (not plastic) lens. It`s a little heavier and a similar size, the max aperture of f/3.5 is faster (helps in low light).
All in all the 4310 looks like a superior 6200.
Steve`s digicams has a favourable review of the 6200 here
Hope this helps
RE: PC World Kodak cx4310
It looks very similar, just with double the internal memory and a million more pixels. It also has a video out I think, which the 6200 doesn`t. The camera body is a very similar shape too, but with different buttons. What pleased me is that it has a lens cap!! My old camera didn`t, and I think I need one. :D
