Hi All
I noticed that eBay have an auction listed (you `buy` a link) for a Free IBM PC with certain terms and conditions of course - you have to watch some adverts or something each hour.
Anyway, I found the link and reproduce it here for any one interested:

Edit >> found this news article about it.

It is some long time this "offer" surfaced and was covered on national news.
File under "Believe it when you see it".
I was skeptical also but did apply a while back for this. I received this email the other day

So it sounds as though they are going ahead with it. I must admit i did cancel the order when i got this email but nevertheless they do appear to be going forward with it
my mother went ahead with a near identical offer about 3yrs ago, then the company went bankrupt, its a con
I`ll eat my baseball cap if you actually get the PC. :D

Very dubious myself, but have still signed up for one. Have also got the e-mail from them suggesting an april delivery, will have to wait and see.
The one three years ago was slightly different in as much as they wanted money up front - it started as being £50, then went up to £100.
This one though there is no money up front.
Worse case scenario that I can (naively) foresee is that computers are delivered, firm goes bankrupt, receivers request value of computers from all operators / return of computers.
Any thoughts?
I maybe one of the few who a couple of years ago got a (free pc with the other offer).I did pay the £50 and then another £50, but at the ime the spec on the free pc was greater than I could upgrade too for the same price.
It was brand new out of the box(an Elonex system) and I owned it from day one ( a legal argument thing at the time).
After around 3 months the company went bust and the computer was mine,I still have it and consider a real bargain, and yes I have signed up and had the emails confirming this new offer, lets see how far we go....best of luck. ;)
How long does it take to receive the email from them. I signed up yesterday and still waiting for the reply. I thought there might be automated reply system or do you have to wait longer??????
just ordered one as well... will now have to sit and wait!!! 8)
`I plan to live forever, or die trying` ;)
Well I have signed up, the mother f***ers better deliver .
Oscar.
