yes to both the above - over 4 hours (listed at 246mins) and if the past (and present) is anythign to go by then the box will be better.

Nice spot, one in the eye for HMCE and a price i doubt will be beaten for a while.... ;)

What was the packaging difference? I bought the R2: Golum statue set, wasn`t it the same on R1? Personally I`d prefer R2 as I think the PAL picture quality for LOTR was far better than the R1 LOTR which I had previously. Perhaps it was just me!

I bought Fellowship on R1 and the outer box that the 4-CD wallet slides into is thick cardboard with a fake leather kind of feel to it. I bought Two Towers on R2 and the same outer box is very thin, shiny card - looks terrible next to FOTR!!

As for the picture difference - I don`t think I`ve got an expensive enough set-up to notice any difference!

So this deal is definitely for me! Nice one to the original poster.

I think you`ve missed the title of this thread - which is the four disc set of ROTK.

Your links are all to the two disc versions of ROTK which are already available.

The four disc set is out later in the year!
