When you hook it up to your pc what resolution does it run? I read somewhere 640x480!!!!

With a 20" screen, you would need to be near blind to use it, icons would be 3 feet wide!

Nice spot for a tv tho!

Don`t forget QED charge £16.00 delivery giving a total of £345.99. I`d rather pay a little more knowing that I can take it back to Argos in the car and get a no quibble refund if things don`t work out too well.

Hovever, it does seem that the screen resolution is 640x480 :(
Manual available for download from here.

well happy with mine spot on resolution settings can be set @ 800x600 1152x684 1280x768 1280x1024 1360x768 1600x900 1600x1024 1600x1200 1920x1080 1920x1200 1920x1440 2048x1536 thats on my crappy 64mb mx440 graphics card i have resolution set at 800x600 icons are approx 11mm wide not 3 feet lol :o beko have an excellent warranty if it goes faulty you get a new one also there is no policy regarding damaged pixels which is good i think £350 for a lcd tv monitor with all the features is a bargain

Thanks Micky,

Can you (or anyone else) advise what resolution I can expect in PC mode from this TV? I run a Dell Optiplex using the on-board Intel 82810E Graphics Controller.

Also how can you get 1600x1024 resolution for example, from a TV that quotes a resolution of 640x480?

Thanks
Sam.

The monitor will not support a resolution of higher than 640 x 480 so for use as a PC monitor, it is absolutely rubbish - people are better off buying a dedicated DVI monitor and separate TV tuner.

The resolutions you have quoted are those that your graphics card supports and not of the monitor.

I bought this at £500 a few months ago and I would highly recommend it. It comes with a VGA lead for connecting up to a PC and the quality is spot on.

It`s also worth mentioning that this TV has two scart inputs as well as S-video and phono-style AV inputs.

For games it is fine because the lower resolution will give the image of smoother pixels although in reality we all know that this isn`t the case but it`s the way the human eye sees it. Also the resolution of PAL is 720 x 576 - much superior to the 640 x 480 which this LCD monitor supports. At that resolution I reiterate that this is certainly NOT suitable for use with PC although it will be fine if it is for gaming only. You get what you pay for.
