Another Sainsburys Lodos bargain DVD Home Cinema

retrogeezer (Elite) posted this on Friday, 31st December 2004, 15:52

Just been in my local sainsburys and they are selling a Lodos home cinema kit that is identical to my Hitachi HTDK170 apart from the colour of the front panel and the shape of the speakers.

It`s instore at £79.99 - the Hitachi one is £150 plus!!

It looks like this but with a black front:

That`ll be the HT100X - it`s just been reduced to £59.99!

I`ve got one of these and they pretty much rock - the only gripe I have is the the "10+" track button for selecting CD tracks higher than 9 (ie. tracks 10 - 20) doesn`t seem to work as per the manual.

Otherwise it`s really good - lots of inputs and outputs, nice sound and very nice picture quality.

Hi,

Got one of these yesterday and seams pritty good so far.

Only one thing I have noticed. In the manual it talks about being able to have dolby surround from the AV input, but there is no option for this on the player. Anybody got any ideas?

Oh and is it multi-region hackable?

£59.99?? No way!

I might go and get a spare at that price!

This is the hack for the Hitachi...

set default settings first - eg: setup/preferences/default..then set to reset.
On remote:

Press Open
Press setup
Press 1,1,1,1,1,0

It will display "OK"

It took me a few tries to get the timing right for this.

This hack was found in the hack forums and I take no responsibility for you using it!

Cheers

Simon

Does the Sainsburys one have Pro Logic 2?

I`ve seen another one rebadged as Mitsubishi with PR2
