Here`s the latest bulletin on their website, good news I hope.

"Stock Update

We would like to apologise to those of you waiting 2 weeks for your DVDs. Stock shipped to us last week but for the most part of this week has been in customs. I have told some of you that you would have your orders by now, expecting customs to have been through with our stock on Tuesday latest, but it is now Thursday and we are informed it will be tomorrow before it is with us. I apologise sincerely to everyone for the delay, hopefully our prices will make up for it and you will bare with us while we overcome these initial troubles. "

`bare with us`?? OK, if stripping off with the guys from StarDVDs gets us our merchandise faster. I`ll try anything once - twice if I enjoyed it.

Jesus - give the guys a break. I`ve started my own business before and I know the hassle`s involved. At least they are keeping everyone informed as to what is happening. Is it really necessary to pick up on every little grammaticle error?

yeah..fairly obvious that was a joke Gaz....I also understand the hassles involved. As for grammatical errors, that just smacks of laziness, and all I`m doing is passing time poking gentle fun at those people who have now got my card details until my DVDs arrive.

Come on people... everyone calm down.....it`s just a joke... and yes they are having a few problems starting up their business.... lets give them a few weeks and we`ll make a decision about them then.... myself.. I couldn`t give a s**t when they deliver.. they haven`t taken my money yet so thats all that matter... (because i`ve already spent far too much on dvd`s this month)

Alan, you beat me to the punch with the `bare with us` slip! However, many of us probably have a little camera on top of our monitors`, wait a minute, Mother`s calling me from her rocking chair upstairs................yes mother.........yes I know what happened last time I did that...................but what harm can it possibly do??!!!!!

I take it that the company is no longer in business. Hope Star dont go that way as well.

ok, before i start i dont know if this is true (but ive read it quite a few places):

i remember someone mentioning that Star DVD`s use to trade in "Silver DVD`s", if thats true, doesnt that mean they use to sell Copied DVD`s??

if you goto www.cdrom-guide.com, and head to the forum, you`ll see that people sell / trade "Silver DVD`s" which are exact copies of the original except they are regionless, they even come with perfect copies of the covers, but they are illegal.

well, my point is, surely if you use to sell them, why would you even bother starting a new business and selling original DVD`s? when you could of made twice as much selling the copied ones?

thats just my view of it.. sorry if you`ve wasted your time reading what you already knew :)

Perhaps they wanted to go into a legitimate business...
has anyone else got an email off them saying that their stock won`t be in until today?
