Cello DIV-X DVD Player @ Sainsburys - only £34.99
If any one is in need of a new DVD player why not try this one out at Sainsburys, only £34.99 and it plays everything including DIVX, plus it does n`t look bad either!
The model no is Cello DVD8105 and as far as I know these are available in all branches of Sainsburys that supply electrical equipment across the country, I got mine from Rugby.
If it lasts me a year I will be happy at that price!

lol, do a google search for that model number :D DVD8105
do you know if it plays xvids as well ? i`m tempted by this, i don`t really need one cos my x-box handles my divx/xvids but my old sainsburys £25 cello is a cracker of a machine so i might just treat myself to another :D

Not a bad player, i like the digest thing it does just like the cyberhome 400 and the Pacific DVD-1002, (it displays small thumbs which you can select with number buttons usefull for dvds that have chapters but no menus or just text menus). menus are same as whsmiths skyworth but this has loads of menus for audio and picture settings.
Plus pressing goto brings up a small menu that shows what bit rate is of the video (tried on vcd and dvd only) also plays wma. in the manual it says that it has 2 headphone inputs for karoke, but there is nothing on the unit.
I really dont work for sainsburys, now lets hope it lasts me longer than 9 months.

Anyone know if it this player supports QPEL?
Me fail English? That`s unpossible!
RE: Cello DIV-X DVD Player @ Sainsburys - only £34.99
Found that Sainsburys (Savacentre) Reading J12 M4 had 5 in stock and took the plunge for my second Divx player. It worked straight out the box, regions 1,2 & 4 all OK. Great for £35 Quid
The software is the same as the Yamada 6600 which I have.
I think it`s the same player in a smarter case with a similar better remote.
I note that the counter timer problem is the same as the early software version in the 6600 and their upgrade worked with the counter off as default.
Judder problem on a few Xvid films is the same as the 6600 so it looks like altering the AVI file is the only answer . http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/186739.php
I`m happy not to say the wife is.... :/
But I`m pleased with it. ;)

I also bought the Cello, but can`t find the "menu" button on the Remote, Anyone else found it yet?
Its annoying when you fall asleep during a dvd, and have to just keep pressing the "back a chapter" button lol :)
Thanks

How big is this thing then? I really want a small one (say, half width?).

Hope this helps
Chip : MediaTek1389FE
Optical Pickup : Sony
Divx subtitles work, SMI, SRT tested ok. Bit on the small size, plain white, no outline.
Not found how to et the firmware version as yet.
Not tried packed bitstreams.
For anyone interested in what the menus look like they are more or less the same as the Zensonic 330:
http://ausdivx.ms11.net/z330/z330screen.htm
No green tinge on RGB.
Its default to region free (I think) but you can change the region by :
Turn on
Open the tray
Press Setup
Select Perference
Enter 1379
Choose your area (O = multizone) ((move cursor up or down))
