Page 1 of Epson R300 printer and Samsung A400 4MP camera bundle for £149......

I was in Asda Walmart in Bristol the other day and noticed that they are selling the Epson R300 printer and Samsung A400 4MP camera bundle for £149...... At least £100 cheaper than individual selling prices online. Seemed a good deal to me if you`re after a printer and a camera.

That does seem a good deal, are you sure it was £149 for both? I just phoned my local store and it was £199.97 for the two together :(

Oh great! My first bargain posting and I may have messed it up :/
I`m sure it said £149 but if the store you rang up said £199 maybe I got it wrong.

Hey, it may not be you who messed it up :D The woman I spoke to was vague to say the least. I said I was phoning about the camera and printer bundle and could she tell me what was in it. She replied "....camera, internal memory, a printer..". :D I`d be interested to see them sell it without the internal memory :D

Next time you are in there, could you have a look at the price please, cos if it is £149 in your store, it might be worth me ringing again.

Not particularly impressed by Asda customer service. Apparently it is going down to that price here on monday, but they don`t know if they are allowed to save me one now to buy then. I have to ring on monday and ask. When I phoned earlier they either had a dozen or half a dozen left, so there is a fair chance they will sell out. It must be getting on for 20 miles each way to my nearest Asda stocking these, so I`m not going unless I know I`ve got one.

I saw two bundles, one this offer the other was the A400 with one of those mini portable photo printers (only print 4" x 6" photos); I thought they were both £149.99 but perhaps they`re not clearly labled.

The R300 sounds like a very good printer and can print direct to CD/DVDs. Samsung have been making some good cameras recently so I expect the A400 is worthwhile although the optical zoom is only 2.8X. If this bundle is £149 it is definately a bargain but at £199 although still good value there may be better options depending on what you want.

I really want an R300, though I`ve not bought one yet as they are a little more than I want to spend. Seeing as I hate my digi camera anyway, I think I`ll have one of these if I can get one for £149. I would prefer a Canon camera really, but wouldn`t get a similar one for this price.
