Some good Computer Stuff, including a 17" TFT for £150, plus wireless keyboard and mouse at £15.00, the one ive got my eye on is the fast dvd burner gizmo for £25, just what i wanted something to convert my videos to dvd.

www.aldi.co.uk then look at special buys

P.S Their computer deals are back on again looks like a pretty good spec too for £700.

Would be interesting to see what it is and how good it is.... most peoples experience of usb capture is not good.... dazzle`s spring to mind...

But may be worth a look...

I just don`t see what this gives that a TV/Capture card doesn`t-ok, it`s simpler in that it needs no installation, but the TV capture card that Aldi have been doing over the last couple of years is a far better bet.

These deals are getting more and more disappointing from Aldi- I could save £20 on the monitor, and about the same on the printer and not far off that on the scanner at the local computer fair. PC looks well specced, but when they first started doing these, no one could match them in terms of price and quality of components, but now, you could probably pick up a similar system for roughly the same money from any number of places.

Keyboard/mouse looks good value though-anyone any idea how long the batteries last?

Emily,

I already have one of those Aldi TV tuners ( bought it over a year ago - never installed it!)

As an input it only seems to have an svhs or one yellow AV or a 3.5 inch audio jack plug.

Is it easy to get a lead that is AV connectors or scart one end and SVHS the other?

why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive

Ref the Medion 17" TFT monitor :Response time 10ms ----- that is the fastest I have seen, has anyone any knowledge or feedback on this unit? It looks very, very tempting!

Anyone got any detailed specs on this USB TV capture device? It says it can drop back to USB 1.1, but at that speed the resolution wouldn`t be great and it would probably miss frames. What sort of PC spec does it need to run properly? Any idea who makes the thing?

Any thoughts about this PC for £749.99. Only reason that I ask is that a mate has asked me the same question and intends to get one over the weekend - along with the 17" monitor.

Details here and click the link to MEDION Titanium MD 8386.

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

I would boubt you`d be able to get one at this late stage. I went to Aldi on Thursday morning at 8.45am and there was already a queue of 20+ people. People were buying 2 or 3 of the monitors each. I also counted at least 10 PCs sold in the first 5 minutes.
