I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

No catches mate. They just bank on sending bits of plastic out and if 1% (not even that!) sign up for a deal, then they got a customer (CASH!!). What they are actually sending you is something thats probably cost less than a bazooka joe bubble gum to produce. (Now who remembers those ? Yum!!)
