May 2005 O2 mobile contract bargains (minimum term cost of NIL to £150)
For a number of months now, the best contract deals have largely been found on the Orange network. However, this month we began to see some fantastic bargains emerging on the O2 network. The most well known of these are the Motorola V220 & Sony Ericsson T630 which come with a minimum term cost (after cashback) of NIL.
Well, these things have a habit of coming in waves and, having investigated further, it seems that there are a number of other interesting deals with a range of handsets available on O2 at the moment.
I`ve put together an article on my website listing all the best value packages that I`ve found. You can find the full article here:

While there`s too much information to easily replicate here on this forum, I can at least highlight a couple of the more interesting deals that I found:
============
Retailer: Mobileshop
Handset: Nokia 7260
Network: O2
Tariff: O2 100 + 100 texts
Includes: 100 minutes & 100 texts per month
Line Rental: £25 per month
Minimum Term: 12 months
Network Offer: double minutes (200) and texts (200) for 3 months
Retailer Offer: £225.00 cashback
Cashback Schedule: £112.50 after 6 months, £112.50 after 12 months
MONTHLY COST: £25 (before cashback), £6.25 (after cashback)
MINIMUM TERM COST: £300 (before cashback), £75 (after cashback)
Please note: The Mobileshop website say that itemised billing is "available additionally" at 99p per month for all O2 tariffs. This would suggest that it is neither included by default nor mandatory. For this reason, I have not included the cost of IB in the costing summary above. However, I haven`t yet confirmed this interpretation with them.

RE: May 2005 O2 mobile contract bargains (minimum term cost of NIL to £150)
Reestit Mutton, you are a star.
The t630 (nil rental) deal is absolutly perfect for me, I currently have a t610 and love the phone, but the PAYG contract is starting to cost me £20 a month the ammount I use it. I`ve not had a contract phone in years as I`ve not seen a deal suitable for me in a long time. When I saw this I jumped at the chance and ordered myself one through your aflliate link. I will also be ordering one for my girlfriend and also 2 of my friends that I told about the deal last night
Many thanks

Save your self even more money and stop spending so much of your time on the phone, let people ring you!! Or get a 300 texts a month sim card from o2 and text people!!

Yup, that`s the perfect way to get labelled as an A1 penny pincher by all your family and friends.

Yup - and I think the latest O2 SIMs allow a choice of either 300 free texts or 100 free minutes with every monthly top up of £10 or more, which is even better.
At the end of the day, it`s horses for courses and, while the O2 SIM is pretty darned good for some people`s needs (especially with the additional option of free calltime), it won`t suit everyone.
cheers,
