Cheapest place to buy MP3 tracks??
Whats the best/cheapest site for downloading MP3`s?
Is there anywhere you can pay a monthly rental and download an unlimited number of tracks or is on a per track basis?
Thanks!!

RE: Cheapest place to buy MP3 tracks??
Disregarding the obvious (Kazaa etc) free file sharing sites, I find that the best way of getting MP3 tracks is to rip tracks from my CD collection, or perhaps borrow CD`s from mates or even the library if necessary and use the free file ripping software to convert those tracks you want to MP3 available at:

Read forum rules:"It is NOT for requesting where to find the cheapest deals, only post offers and bargains you have found yourself!"
easy - as in easyjet, easycinema etc does a music download site. tracks are about twenty pee I think.
"There he goes. One of God`s own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
Just had look there on easymusic. Tracks are from 25p, the sort of tracks you actually would want to listen to are 95p. Crickey!
RE: Cheapest place to buy MP3 tracks??
Probably the cheapest for chart music download is MSN music - tracks are 69p , can be played (streamed) for 1p and you get 30% extra (I think) if you set up a monthly subscription.

Appears that NAPSTER is a good deal!!
For £9.95 a month, can download an unlimited number of tracks and then cancel whenever you like!!
Does anyone know of anything better??

Well , yes , sort of but from the Napster site

Not quite sure how that works though :/
sure there must be a way around it. With other songs which I have downloaded , but want to copy to MP3 players which don`t have DRM (Digital Rights Management - I think :B ) , I have burned them to CD-RW and then copied them back to the PC in MP3 format. Could probably do the same with songs downloaded from Napster , so long as you still retain the rights to burn them to CD.

You do have a legal right to transfer to a cd, and three other home pcs I believe. Do you know what freeware software you could download to convert napster tracks in to normal mp3s.
