About now im having amnesia and deja vu. I think Ive forgotten this before :D
I have the Acer N35 and can fully recommend it. I`ve put a 1 gb sd card in it, and it now holds all the sat nav software, games, music etc I need.
The Destinator software is good and gets you where you want to go the only down side is that you can`t download the speed camera database to sit alongside it (I think with Tom Tom you can?).
Cheers,
Rich.
Rich, might be worth checking out http://www.pocketgpsworld.com for the speed camera database, the forum I found to be as helpful as a heart attack but you might drop lucky ;)

Crappy Medion unit?
Whats wrong with the Medion? The only thing I can fault with it is that the plastic body feels cheap but i`ve had no problems with the quality of mine.
Does anyone have any experience of `obtaining` and the use of maps for other countries - US, Germany, France, Italy, etc.
Can this be done and if so how much do they cost ??
You can`t beat a good bargain !!!
Mapopolis do software & (9 days) time limited demo maps that work well for Palm, Pocket PC & Smartphones.
I am actually going to take the years subscription & d/l the US\Canada maps that I require for my holiday this time.
I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.
I too have the Medion PDA model, no compalints at all. Came with 4 CD`s with all the maps of Europe down to street level so no need to shell out extra.
Sam.

Yup, had 2 units from TRU and both had a nasty habit of loosing sat signal, sometimes for as long as 10 minutes. Also the amount of time the unit takes to re-fresh a route when you get it wrong is silly. Maybe I was just unlucky?
