Blast!
I`d hung out buying this until last week for £29.99 in WH Smiths. There was 10% off for late night shopping and the wife had a £5 worth of points for £25 and over when spent on DVDs, therefore equivalent to £21.99.
For some reason, the tin (collectors?) version seems to be cheaper than the slip case at the moment :/
Good spot kebabhead (If only i`d held on a bit longer..... :( )

Have you tried switching it on........?

In this month (Jan `06) Empire magazine Virgin Megastores have 4 pages of adverts, one of the items featured is this Band of Brothers Tin Version @ £34.99 !

Wonder why the sudden drop in price, if they took the time to produce the artwork and stuff for the magazine.. unless its a price error in-store :-\

Only watched it the once (seems so daunting to watch through the whole thing again as it`s not the kind of thing you dip in and out of, or watch a favourite episode) but it is a stunning series and worth every penny.

Watched first two episodes last night :)

Even better second time round due to

viewing on 42 inch plasma compared to old 32 inch CRT
Hearing sound in DD rather than thorugh TV spreakers (bullets wizzing round the room)

In Virgin Cribbs Causway today, loads of the Tin boxed sets in store, but all seemed to be marked up £34.99, so not sure if still on promotion :/
