Gizmondo down to £99

At argos pretty naff for gaming what with the PSP and DS doing the rounds but it might make a cheap GPS system. Looks like the GPS software is included On board and 3rd party mapping and location based services

Not bad for a ton if it does the job.

I think I`m right in saying the following, but if i`m not then sorry.
The On board and 3rd party mapping and location based services work in this way:
Mapping, provided by a 3rd party Co-Pilot or something like that costs about £99 ontop of the initial outlay.
And im guessing the onboard stuff refers to the advertising I heard was distributed to Gizmondo users.
If im wrong then im more than interested in getting one myself.

On-board subscriber based advertising services are based on Vodaphone downloads.

Not sure if a replacement PAYG chip would cirmcumvent this or render it useless after a period of time.

Personally speaking I expect the price to drop way lower

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.
