has anyone used these before? Any good? seem to be pretty cheap (comparing to the 25box Verbatim for £6.99 @ Sainsburys).

:) These are a good bye and are also available in -r. Emtek used to be known as BASF in the UK market and were market leaders. :)

I haven`t bought any Emtec discs for a couple of years now, since I had a some of their CD-Rs from Staples. I had quite a number of beer mats from them. A few of the discs seemed to have an oily coating and others had visible flaws in them :( .
I use mainly RiTeks now, so far, so good.

Re the comment about the cost of the Verbatim DVD R`s at Sainsburys, note that these are 16 x speed, and the Emtek are 8x speed. Still a decent price though, and with free postage from Amazon.....
