Page 1 of Argos-Linksys ADSL Modem/Wireless Router & USB Adaptor £50

Not seen it posted here before.
Found it over at MSE.

Evidently, the deal was in the Argos technology price cuts leaflet but isn`t coming up online if you try to reserve in store (comes up at full price).
Here`s the deal:
Buy both the following items together you save £60 and get both for £50.

Router 676/8339 (The router has an ADSL modem built in, so not for cable users.)
Adaptor 676/8298 (Not quite the usual small USB dongle).

Anyone had any experience of these, is it any good etc?

I have a set on reserve for collection, so I`ll see if I get it for the £50 and post progress.

Thanks for the replies people, I`m off to collect it all tonight :) and then to spend bloody ages sorting it all out before admitting defeat and finally reading the instructions..... :o

OK £50.... looks good but the reserve order Ive just placed comes out at just under £110. What am I doing wrong chaps?

I think it depends on if the particular branch is offering the joint discount. If there is another branch near you give that a try.

Ah, I see. Tried all the Argos stores in a 30 mile radius and they are all coming out at £109.98. Guess that offer has passed...... DAMIT :¦

Don`t despair. As the OP says , this offer doesn`t come up online but it is on the back of the Argos `Technology Price Drops` booklet (I`m looking at a copy right now and it should still be in the stores).
Offers are supposed to be valid between 8th March and 28th March , so if i were you I would reserve the items online and then go and collect at the store and see what comes up at the till.
If there is a problem , refer them to the booklet (pick up a copy first if you can).
