DVD/Games rental free trials - 5 months of free renting!
Just found a site (uk-dvd-rental-guide.com) that lists all the internet-based DVD rental companies (the ones that post the DVDs to you) that offer free trials (some for a full month) - and says if you switch from one trial to the next you can get 5 months of free DVD rentals! They also have a link to a site which does the same for console games rentals (games-rental-guide.co.uk) - we`re going to work our way through the list!
Hope its useful to someone else too!

Excellent sites, thank you, you`ve just saved me a lot of research !!
I am coming to the end of my ScreenSelect free trial and I must say they have been fantastic. Top choices received every time, very speedy, items despatched mostly on the same day as they receive an item back.

Try Lovefilm... I know it sounds a bit like a pornofilm rental site, but, I had a months free film rental which I cancelled in December and they sent me an offer of another free month which I have just started...2 months for nowt...and the service is brilliant..fast turnaround..

Ive not payed for dvd rentals for coming up to two years now. Just remember that these companies go off email address and credit/debit card, so if you have more than one of these... ;)

For me lovefilm were absolutely terrible, worth using them for the free trial but after that they gave me an average of 3 films per week. Blockbuster gave me 6 without fail.

i joined blockbuster a few months ago.during the trial period,i was getting 3 dvds from the top of my list as soon as i returned the last 3.this is on the £14.99 `unlimited`rental per month.however,once the trial ended,so did the flow of dvds.despite having nearly 80 on my list,they have just took my subscription and supplied 1 dvd this week from the bottom of my list.to test them out,have started another account with an identical list and guess what,loads of dvds from top of the list.complained through several e mails and best response is a cursory couple of dvds from low on the list and the suggestion to add more dvds to the list then nothing.this is despite them saying `keep 20 on your list to ensure a steady flow of titles`.funny,always take the money on time though.
now what was i thinking?oh yeah,yeehah

Looking at this thread yesterday I decided to try the Screen Select trial. I gave my details in and made a list of films and games I would like to have delivered. Like I say that was about 5pm yesterday and looking at my list again today nothing has happened.....no sign of anything being sent or at least processed. Is this normal for these guys?? :/

Hmm, you don`t need to "activate" your list with Screen Select do you? I remember I had a Blockbuster trial a year or so ago, put all this stuff on, wondered why I hadn`t received anything a week later, then noticed they weren`t activated. What a stupid hurdle to have to jump*

I`m currently with Tesco dvd rental. I CAN`T recommend them though, and I`ll be cancelling my subscription within the next few days.
The problems that I`ve experienced are:
* Slow turnaround of discs
* Quite a number of damaged discs being sent out
* They treat special features or bonus discs as SEPERATE TITLES (This can be pretty fraustrating. A recent dispatch arrived seperately from the main dvd and consisted only of a 20 min long four track music cd).

:( Well Mini Emma, I am trying Screenselect, I found at first they had a very quick turn around then they became slow, I`m suppose to get 3 DVDs at a time and I get 1 then 2 also my top titles that I want take weeks to come and then they are only one at a time. :(
