Only £35, i`m tempted as was gonna get a cheap £25 stb anyway - I`m not bothered about Top up TV - Any opinions or might i as well go the £25 budget route?

I got one after seeing it on another forum. I`ve had it a week & so far it`s been very good. I was about to get one of the Asda ones but prefered the better name for a little extra. It`s not TUTV compatable though.

Well my father is looking for a new freeview box, and I was going to get this Panasonic from Argos today for him but after checking out reviews the better name doesn`t always apply, Panasonic DVD Recorders are great, but check out customer reviews of the TU-CT 41, not favourable at all.

After much deliberation and checking out more reviews opted to get him the Wharfedale DV832B, £34.99, doesnt lock up, have timer problems or look as ugly.

Bought one from Sainsbury but had to return it . Won`t work on tv without scart socket as no RF for aerial loop through. Older model was better.

Very few have a modulator built in nowadays. :(

My dad bought one and had to return it - it wouldn`t pick up half of the channels that his other box does (buying it as a second box). Also said the remote was shyte.

What I`m listening to...

Picked one up and am quite pleased with it as it receives more channels than my daughter`s existing Technosonic one (upstairs), although it receives nothing but a few BBC channels downstairs (maybe due to lead windows?) even with the signal booster (SLxA) so i`ve let her have it and will have to get a proper arial sorted out when i can afford to do so which has made me a popular chap anyhow so money well spent for now!
