I know any self-repecting DVD fanatic will already have this movie but, "The Shawshank Redemption" on DVD is £7.69 at Blackstar.

but didnt they have an offer that u get a free laurel and hardy dvd as well when u buy this?

Just be aware that the R2 version is a crumby disc - dodgy picture and only stereo.

You don`t pay that much more for the beautiful anamorphic 5.1 R4 disc.

Hey Relax.

Glad you posted that Dan I`ve been having trouble stopping myself from buying it. I thought of a new rule (which doesn`t always work) - Do I have to watch this film today. If I can say no I can walk away. So far so good.

I have the region 2 disc which is double sided.
One side is 4:3
the other is 16:9 Anamorphic
sound is Dolby Surround
is this the standard region 2 release?
Note: I have never seen this film bought it as everyone recommends it and I read Stephen King.
Got with Amazon £5 voucher for about £5-85 inc. postage.

Waiting for some spare time to watch it!
