From Sunay Aldi have this freeview box with 160Gb hard drive(80Gb) for under £100.Just remember when they turn off analogue if you want to record a programme and watch something on the otherside a the same time you`ll need to digital sources
Been thinking about one of these for my son for Xmas, but just put off a bit by the reviews the last one they did got. Was hoping to find some about this version on the net, but thin on the ground as yet.

That`s not an issue with this box, as it`s twin Freeview tuners, so already digital (through an aerial), not affected by the analogue switch off (which isn`t till 2012 where we live anyway). It`s a nice looking box compared to some I`ve seen, and if it`s problem free, it`s got plenty of features to make it a good buy.
We have a Liteon 250gb HDD DVD Recorder downstairs and it`s been well used since we made the switch, and binned the old VCR.
RE: Twin tuner Freeview box
I picked one up on Sunday. The make is Tevion, and to be honest I have not had problems yet. Yes twin tuners, you can record one and watch the other, and you can program a record and manually record another.
For £99 it seems to be holding fine
:) Hi I bought one this time last year and yes they were very troublesome many flaws in the software but I kept with it as I liked the box and it`s ease of use. They finally released 1.6 firmware and since then the machine has been alot more stable and now with the 160gb hard drive it is a very good buy which I would buy again.I use it on our main TV with a liteon 5045 dvd hard drive recorder with no problems.
